Yes, but in small portions.

Another thing to note is that people who love to eat spicy food (including myself) tend to have a habit of drinking Water while eating.

After my sleeve I've found that I feel very bloated if I drink and eat at the same time.

Hence I tend to eat food that is less spicy.

Also.... after my sleeve I've suddenly occasion gastric reflux... which doesnt really go well when I've had spicy food.

I still love the taste of spicy food, but Rex (my sleeve) is just now allowing me to eat anything remotely spicy without complaining about it loudly.

Spicy food still makes me very uncomfortable :( BUT I never really enjoyed it. I do know a few people who LOVE it post-sleeve! I would just be very careful when you re-introduce it and make sure you wait until you are for sure healed 100%!

I am only just over 2 weeks post-op & have no problem eating spicy food (even though I am still on liquids). I had spicy Latin black bean Soup & even spruced up some won ton soup broth with the spicy mustard with no issues. I am sure it is different for some people but so far so good here.

I haven't had any issues either, but I'm sure the experience is different for everyone. Things I used to like I don't, and some things I didn't like as well I enjoy more now. Strange, but that's the way the sleeve rolls.

I'm from South East Asia... and everything is spicy ...

honestly .... I used to love spicy food....

and I can stomach it .... even now ...

But for some weird reason, I just dont have the craving or lust for it anymore~

I might take abit coz I remember I used to love it... but ... after a taste... dat's it.

Not coz I cant take it .... it's just ... "hmmm nice .. ok ... wat else is there?"

I love spicy food, the only thing bad right now is just about everything gives me gastric reflux. If I take Zegerid it keeps the acid down. Being without a job makes it hard to try to pay $30 for 22 days worth of treatment of Zegerid. I try what we have on hand but it just doesn't work like the Z stuff. Had an job interview today that went pretty good so maybe I will be employed again soon. Having insurance would be so great again. Sorry for the venting.

My sleeve hates spicy food too. It makes my acid reflux back up into my throat. But you may be totally different. I hope you can eat it! :)

I loved it before and have no probs now. I'm six weeks out and been using plenty of hot sauce, wing sauce, etc. made enchiladas last night with trader joes enchilada sauce (has a nice kick) and no issues.

I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to give up hot & sour Soup. I hope my sleeve will cooperate!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
