My surgery is today at 12:15. If I could have developed a good heart condition I could have been earlier so as it is I get to enjoy the dizzy feeling from the anti nausea patch....which is making nauseous ironically....until then. Oh and can I have a cup of Water????? PLEASE!!!!!!! Lol ok I feel better I got that off my chest.

Pre-Op doctor's visit was yesterday. My starting weight was 250lbs and my current weight is 240lbs. Surgeon talk to me about what to expect and also what could go wrong. At first my nerves weren’t bothering me but after the doctor's visit they are a little shaky. I know they will get worse by next Wednesday night and probably will be off the scale come day of surgery Thursday. Since I had my gallbladder removed yearssss ago, he expects me to some scar tissue that he will have removed. Didn’t have to do a pre-op diet so I guess that’s a good thing but overall, I'm doing well. Surgeon told me that I would be on clear liquids for a week and then move to the next stage. He told me to focus on getting the liquids and vitamins in and purchase the protein that you sprinkle over your food and to make sure that I purchased the right protein products as quite a few on the market have a bunch of calories contained in them. I'm looking forward to August 30^th, I'm ready to start being and feeling a lot healthier..

7 more days until surgery! YAY!!!

Well my first hurdle was do another sleep study got that one out of the way last night. I get a call about an hour ago and now they said my EKG is abnormal and I have to see a cardiologist . I was seeing a cardiologist for many years and he never found any thing wrong. I was always scared because of family history ..heart disease. I stopped going to see him a year or two ago. ......sorry. I am rambling.... Well now I do not think I can get in to see a cardiologist before my surgery date 8/29 ... I had my time off from work scheduled, my sister was all set to come down from Dallas ...and noe my cardiologist is out till mid Sept. I am so disappointed. I have been so compliant ... Ahhh now what

I'm sorry to hear that.

My friend had an abnormal EKG and it was because she a case of mild asthma. I hope yours is as simple as that and that you are sleeved before too much time goes by.

Done on Monday rough 3 days hernia repair now on blood pressure meds wtf slower recovery than I like but it will get better unfortunately my husband leaves Sat forAsia for3 weeks this is going to be the hardest for me a at least I don't have to plan meals

I had to go in for a chest x-ray today and I thought of something...maybe a bit strange...but I CAN'T WAIT until I can fit into a "regular" size hospital gown and blood pressure cuff!!!! The nurse started to hand me a hospital gown and stopped and said...."here, you better take "this one" in case the regular size doesn't fit". I figure there's no need to get offended, because she was right.

I slept fine my first night home but think it was because Of the travel home. Haven't slept well at all since. Maybe once I can exercise. I'm tired but just wake up a lot.
