  1. Unfortunately that happens trying to cross the border. Hang in there all will be fine soon!
  2. That was a cause of concern for me before but actually I was fine to travel. I ended up getting stuck overnight in Dallas and had nothing I could eat. I would advise taking something with you just I case.
  3. Girls to be on the safe side get some gauze and tape. I didn't have enough. Also extra panties, I had to wash some out, after a week of liquid going in that's all that comes out is liquid! Other then that you guys are in the right track, pack light.
  4. Sleeved 8/31 start weight 190 on day of surgery. Current weight 157. I have only lost one pound in the last 4 weeks. Surgery done in MX so no NUT to consult. I was averaging 700 cal and 70 g protein. Logging everything I eat and watching carbs around 40. No exercise except work full time. Not enough water and tend to snack (healthy)) at night. I have had sweets/ carbs one time since surgery. Is my body in starvation? Do I need to increase calories? I actually have lowered my calories over the last few days but no change in weight. I am very frustrated to have slowed down so much so quick. I am happy about what u have lost if course. What am I doing wrong????
  5. I have posted clothes on eBay size 12, jeans, skirts, tops and bras. More to come. My user name is kallison32805.
  6. I have had some wine with no problems, I'm going on 4 months.
  7. I want to respond to the part of the thread that spoke about not having the right stickers to get across the border. Abraham, with ALM, did the same thing for us. He explained that he was TRYING to get us through the medical lane because the other lanes were so backed up. He really didn't have the right criteria to use the medical lane so he would do what he could to get through otherwise we would have to wait in line. I appreciate the effort, it worked and we got through. If he has wanted to stop and get them a steak dinner I would have paid for it to avoid waiting in line! I had a great experience with dr Garcia and the whole staff at ALM!
  8. Yes! I am about the same, about 7 pounds in the last 6 weeks. Do you exercise? Are you on MFP? I just went to the Dr today to review my blood workup and all is well. Stopped blood pressure and hormone meds! Down 3 sizes in pants but slow weight loss as of recent.
  9. New born animal meat!!! That does not sound very appealing!! Lol veal sounds a little better. Lol I gave trouble with beef at 3 1/2 months. Tuna and chicken go down much easier for sure and no bubbling after. I have had decent success with frozen meatballs but can only eat about 5 and I'm stuffed.
  10. Don't worry about anything, I understand how you are feeling plus some as I went alone. Abraham will take great care if you, if you need anything all you have to do is ask! Tell him Karen said hello.
  11. No spinal block here with Dr Garcia in TJ
  12. I was very happy with dr Garcia. And Eduardo and Abraham are both hot!
  13. I had a glass of wine at about two months, no problem at all.
  14. Shakes and yogurt never give me the restriction feeling, now beef even ground, I can only eat a tiny amount. I eat a lot of tuna, chicken and beef jerky for added protein.
  15. I'm 3 months postop. Gitters are normal! Lol the reward far out weighs the inconvenience.
  16. As far as the pink coloration, that will fade with time but nothing will get rid of stretch marks. We all have them but the trade off (weight loss) is well worth it!
  17. All if us that had surgery in MX were full if questions and concerns but must had excellent experiences. Love my sleeve for sure, we should call it a tummy tuck because that's exactly what it is. Plastic surgery for your stomach!
  18. I just say that i have changed my eating habits to lose weight and get heathy.
  19. My worst time was one week after surgery, dizzy and exhausted. I worked thurs and fri, then sat and sun I rested before going back to work on Monday. Other than those two days everything was good. It was way easier than I thought it would be.
  20. Fort Smith AR here also went to TJ. At 3 months scars are still dark but well worth the 35 pound weight loss
  21. I am 3 months postop as of last Friday. My starting weight was 196, currently at 160, that is total loss from before preop diet. I basically lost 15 pounds the first month, 10 the second and 5 the third. Is that normal? Today on MFP I have had 611 calories, 57 carbs, 22 sugar and 59 protein. Is that about what I need to be getting daily? What changes should I be making? I do take my vitamins and I have been trying to get my protein without shakes but today I did have one. Should I be trying to stop the shakes and bars? I had surgery in MX and do not have a NUT. I am starting to lose my hair but not to bad yet. Any suggestions would be great.
  22. I have had a few dates with a couple of different people. One is younger and he questioned why I ate so little and one was older and he matched his eating to mine. I told the younger one, after he questioned me, that had cut way back on my eating in attempt to watch my weight and i told the older one upfront. They both accepted that reason. Going forward I plan to say upfront that I have cut back so that they are prepared. Right now I am in the getting to know you phase and should things progress I may tell the truth, or maybe not, a woman needs to stay a little mysterious!
  23. I'm in fort smith. I have a hard time with liquids, the best for me is diet green tea. I don't do protein drinks now, I get 60 grams a day from food choices and about 700 calories.
  24. My experience with a lighter me and dr Garcia was fantastic, that was 8/31.
