Wow you guys are doing great with your weight loss. I'm down 19 lbs since 3/12. Only 2 lbs in the last 4 weeks. Its very discouraging.

You know, I really was hoping for consistent restriction after so many years of random restriction, but I'm not complaining. I couldn't even drink Water in the morning for like 6 years.

Did the egg/ham/cheese Breakfast.< /p>

lunch I ate out and ordered a brothy Soup. I avoided all pieces and just stuck with the broth, and could barely finish 1/4 of the small bowl.

snack was a cheese stick with a bit of minced meat salad. It took me 45 mins to finish.

dinner - about 2 tbls of 7 layer dip w/ canned chicken, 2 hours ago and I'm still feeling it each time my stomach contracts.

Go figure. I've never liked breakfast much, ever. So of course it would be my primary meal now....

I'm not quite to 1/2C food, I don't think, but the egg combo is quite a bit more than I've managed before. 4oz seems to be my upper limit.

I think that 19lbs is great! That's 19lbs that you won't have to carry around again. But I'm wondering if maybe you are in an early stall. How fast did you lose the other 17lbs?

I lost 17 lbs the first 4 1/2 weeks. Then 2 lbs since then. Tomorrow I will be 2 months out.

I had to go to my doctor yesterday for some antibiotics, so I was weighed. The exact same weight that I was about 4 weeks ago when I went in for my last post-op.

Stalls suck. Stalling for more than half the time you've been sleeved suck even more!

@wheetsin

What did the doc say about your stall? I wanna know if this is normal or should I just go with the idea that the sleeve isn't gonna work for me.

Omg! I have been an extremely slow loser as well.. I was in a stall for about 3 wks, and then dropped 2 lbs in a wk and half. This is too slow, I am wondering when the weight loss will continue. Started at 262 now at 228 :/ I'm 9 wks out tomorrow.

3/12/12 ;)

Hi All March Sleevers!

I got sleeved on March 28th and I think I am doing well. I am down 44 lbs., 28 lbs. down since surgery. I have slowed down since the introduction of solid foods, but I am okay with that. My Nut wants me eating 6X a day. That has been tough. I think I am doing better with that, though. I notice that I get hungry every 2 hours or so. I try to get Protein first. It has been wonderful to eat veggies again. I think I have a "Sleeve of Steel". I can pretty much eat anything. There hasn't been anything that has given me a hard time. I love my sleeve and that the 44 lbs. I have lost are 44 lbs. I will never have on my body again. I am very pleased.

Just wanted to say that I seem to be following the same course as lisalalani -- I too was sleeved on 3/27 and as of today I am currently at 228. Her post reads almost like I would have written it. I had not posted due to feeling successful when so many posts were stating that they had stalled.... Sorry for that. I am very please with the status and looking forward to particpating more.

Wished this website was more user friendly. Can't seem to find anything -- I wanted to put the eye chart on here to show my progress -- oh well - I'll keep trying to figure this out --- unless someone has advice.

I was sleeved on March 14th and have been doing really well. I started mushies at about 2 weeks and haven't looked back. Everything I am eating now is regular food. Went out last week to eat for the first time and got a steak. That steak fed me for 3 meals and boy did it taste good. Also had my best week of weight loss this week, so I think I will start eating steak more often!! My weakest point is getting exercise in, but I am working on it.

I was sleeved March 13 by the same surgeon as PixieJoy. Hi Joy! I've stalled twice and have lost a total of 41.6 lbs since pre-op and 29.6 since surgery. I wish it were more, but I'm okay with it.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
