December sleevers!

Recommended Posts

I started "Mushies" today, and went to The Diner in Norman, Okla., for a couple of scrambled eggs, while hubby had his usual spread. Scrambled eggs never tasted so good!!!

I set the timer on my cell phone for an hour so I can start drinking Water pronto after that. Still feel full from eggs though.

Hooray for December sleevers!!

I am pleased to announce to other Dec. sleevers that I fared very well at my first doctor and nutrition visit since surgery which was Dec. 28th.

I had my first visit (2 weeks) on Wed. I am down about 8.5 lbs since surgery. So that with the 10 day pre-diet is almost 15 lbs in 3 weeks... Better than I've ever done.. no matter how hard I worked out. So from my first nutrition visit in May until Jan 11th is 25 lbs gone forever.... SIGH! I also got some very, very good news. I had to get weighed on this special scale that told them how much body fat you have and how much muscle, they were shocked!! I have the highest amount of muscle they have ever had there on a woman. So, they changed my goal weight from 127 to 141. They told me to clear the acronym BMI right out of my vocabulary. I will never fit what's considered "normal" because of my muscle mass, which also forced them to increase my daily Protein to 60 - 70 grams a day instead of the 40-50 they originally told. I am a mere 5ft tall, but have worked out, off and on most of my adult life, often getting too bulky for a woman. Partly genetics!!

I honestly set my personal goal at 140 because I felt I'd be too thin at 127, haven't ever weighed that since being an adult. I feel great, have had no issues stomach wise. Eat slow and can consume 3-4 oz without an issue. I am very pleased thus far and I know it'll only get better. The ride for me has been easy thus far which is very unusual for me. I am still waiting for something to go wrong, yet it all feels so right. Have a great day everyone and hope all the rest of the Dec sleevers are doing equally as well.

It has been a couple of weeks since anybody posted. Curious how the December sleevers are doing since we are all now 1-2 months out.

For me, I am feeling good, weight loss has slowed down which can be frustrating but life is good and I am happy with my sleeve!

I was sleeved on the 27th..as most know, I had a leak. I had lost 24 pounds but gained some back when I was on TPN. I'm slowly getting that weight back off. It was a set back but I still have my eye on the prize.

Hey favoredone..love your new profile pic cutie!

Have you tried some home remedies to help you sleep or consider asking a sleep doctor or pcp for something to help? Nothing ruins your health more than sleep deprivation..for me anyway. Congrats on your weightloss..you are doing great!

Tomorrow I will be 8 weeks out. To date down 55 pounds and counting! I feel great and love the NSVs more than the SVs. I started out wearing size 22 jeans and I'm in a loose 18 at the moment. Can't wait to hit 16s! I also love doing my vlog on youtube. I can eat pretty much anything besides chicken and have found that I need to get in enough carbs or my weight loss stalls. I went through a two week stall and then another one week stall. But 55 pounds?? I'm happy!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
