Sounds like dehydration. I didn't drink enough Water yesterday and woke up feeling the same way!

I felt like that too. Even though your on liquids, Water, water, water!! I couldnt stand drinking water in the morning until something went down first with flavor. I drank a lot of the kids fruitable box juices. But the meds from surgery can play havoc for a few days too. Dehydration just sucks but get 64 oz of water in daily not including juice. It will get better shortly!!

I had the same issue and was told it could be the residual affects of anesthetia. It went away by drinking lots of liquids and frozen pops helped too.

I had surgery on the 25th and have the same problem. My issue is that I just can't drink that much! It took me 90 minutes to drink 12 oz. of chicken broth last night. Crazy! Told my husband I just wanted to guzzle a big glass of Water, but I know I CAN'T do that! If I take anything bigger then a sip, though, I get that full feeling and can't drink anymore. Even taking my meds in the morning fills me up!

I know I'm only 2 days post-op and his will get better. I was up 6 pounds from the day of to the day after surgery from all the liquids they pumped into me via the IV, so I've got that, but all I want to do is drink a big glass of Water and I can't.

I had my surgery on the 25th too. Physically, I feel better than I anticipated but feeling crummy stomach wise. It took me an hour to get my Protein Shake down this a.m. and there was no way I could get the recommended lunch and dinner one down. I am not nauseous but just an "ucky" feeling. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like even though I barely had anything today that I may have been overdoing it too quickly when I did. I hope this subsides as I have been kind of down feeling crummy and (sorry, Tmi) gassy. :( Hope this may just be still residual effects from anesthesia. Good luck to everyone!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
