  1. It does get better! I had to do an all liquid diet for 14 days...slimfast, water, chicken broth, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles....it didn't get hard for me until day 10 when I wanted to chew! I found the sugar free gum in strawberry short cake flavor, apple pie flavor, and root beer float! Don't give up u can do it and it will be worth it! I lost 15 pounds before I was banded July 24 and all together I've lost 31! Keep trying u can do it!
  2. Thanks so much! That makes me feel a lot better!!! On a better note I'm done 5 more pounds! 31 pounds since my liquid Pre op diet started 14 days before my surgery! Happy Dance! 31 pounds down and a lot more to go! But I'm making it! Yayayayayayayay! Lol!
  3. My nipples hurt worse, my back hurts worse, and my temper is worse than normal...but I'm figuring it's bc my hormones are finally working on their on since my weight loss is good... My period used to be sporadic but now it seems to be on track...I just wondered if periods become worse after the band is put in and if it was normal...thanks for answering me
  4. Banded July 24 and have done great! Now it's time for my period and I feel like a truck has run over me and I'm having so many mood swings...is this normal? I hate feeling like this!
  5. I was banded on July 24th and am done from 246 to 220...I'm stuck! But I believe the signs of my period is coming up...hurt back, nipples, and all the fun stuff! Do y'all think that has something to do with me not losing my weight? My periods never come when they are supposed to but lately they've started to happen monthly bc of the weight loss...what do y'all think?
  6. Thanks y'all! I'm glad to know there's others besides me that are going through this or have been through it and will tell us what to expect! Hope u get to feeling better and I'm up and walking! Lol!
  7. I was banded July 24th and it's been a very easy process...today I have started getting sharp pains when I take a deep breath on the same side as my port...should I be worried??
  8. I had the band and the sleeve done at the same time and he didn't remove any of my stomach...he folded the edges around underneath and sewed it up...I've lost 23.5 pounds and I haven't had any trouble! Love it! I was just banded on the 24th and have nothing but good things to say about both!
  9. Thanks so much to all of you! I want to be prepared in every way! I'm also worried about eating in public and sliming?! Doesn't sound real good on either! Lol
  10. I know this is probably a crazy question but what exactly does being stuck feel like??? I was banded on July 24th and I'm still out of the loop on some of this! On a brighter note I've lost 23.5 pounds since I started my 2 week pre op liquid and 8.5 since the 24th!
  11. Ok thanks so much!
  12. I'm on clear liquids and broth for 2 weeks! I thought I would starve but this has been way easier for me than the pre op 2 week liquids...gonna try uping my water intake..it just feels nasty so my teeth have been getting brushed alot! Lol thanks for congrats! Congrats to you to!
  13. I was banded July 24 and have been doing great! Only thing is when I wake up my mouth is extremely extremely dry...why is this and what can I do about it?????
