does WW only have 2 options when attending classes in person --- the monthly pass & the weekly pay ?

didn't they used to have a pre-pay plan ? i don't like the monthly pass because the last time i did that and cancelled, they had some crazy cancellation loophole where they were able to charge me for additional month.

i am thinking seriously about actually JOINING because i've been playing around with the same pounds since november (up a few, down a few, up a few, down a few....)

I have been doing weight watchers at home for 4 weeks. I have the books from joining a while back so i'm not actually joining but doing the points on my own. I woulkd like to weigh in on mondays and have support from you guys if thats ok. I have been doing pretty good but if I actually had to post my weight each week I think I would do better. Next Monday I will weigh in and start. So how are you guys doing with weght watchers. Are you losing? How many points are you allowed? Today I had Fried bolonga for Breakfast with egg and a peper jack cheese string. lunch I had light baebecu pringles if any of you like chipe these are great and only have 70 calories per 14. I had I Peice dieced chicken green pepper and onion cooked in Water. A pepper Jack cheese stick. For supper I'm having corn on the cob with chicken onions and peppers. About 7 I have snack wich is bag light popcorn. My points are 30. I do not use alloawence points or exercise ponts. I exercise at the gym for an hour at 500 in the morning. I take the dog for a two mile walk at the park after i drop the kids off at school After I eat luch I use treadmill for 30 minutes and before bed I use treadmill for 30 minutes. I got banded Oct 23 2009.

Yes you can go to the meetings with the three month pass but you have to print it and show them. I did that awhile back. I find if I don't eat all my point I don't lose as good. But the extra and the activity points I do get by without using those. How long have you had the band? How much weight have you lost? I eat alot of fat free and light stuff cause I can have more food. I spred my points out so It seems like I'm eating all day but I'm not and it has sped my metabolism up. I eat breakfast at 7 snack 9 lunch at 11 snack at 1 supper at 430-500 snack at 7:30. I Know this sounds crazy but it works for me. I eat the most points at breakfast and lunch. If you have any pointers feel free to clue me in.I'm weighing in Monday and you next Tuesday? We can post it each week? Or if we need more support we can get on as needed. Thanks so much for being my weight watcher buddy LOL!

L Boogie I was banded on oct 23 2009. I had to have Fluid taken out of my band so its pretty much empty at the moment. Ater my last fill I kept throwing up and waited to long to have an unfill. I had swelled so much he had to take my fluid out. But next week I get fluid back thanks goodness it has been four long weeks. I gained during that time so I'm trying to lose the same 7 pounds agian and that is not cool. I think I might get on everday for support but just log my weight in once a week. Yesterday was so very hard because all I wanted to do was eat. It is that time of the month for seven full days I want to eat the house down. Do you all have that problem that one time a month? I have done pretty good this morning. Egg, Light pringles.Snack string cheese 6 points. lunch Pepper onion and 3oz chicken sprinkle 1/4 cup mozzerla cheese and melt, One small bad fritos 8 points. snack cheese string 2 points. supp er same as lucnch 8 points. snack popcorn light 1 point. The last five points I save for if I get hungery before bed. I'm hooked on the chicken and onions for some reason so I guess I'll eat it till I get tired and move on to something else. what is the hardest part of the day for you guys to control your hunger? Mine is 6-9. Do you regret getting the band? I'm so glad to have all you guys support. It also saves me money from having to join weight watchers when I can weigh in and have you guys to answer too.Welp have a good day guys.

ya i think i need to post daily 2 as it does help out alot. and i dont get the hungry during my time of the month i crave chocolate. and i would have to say the worst time for me is night as i spent alot of time night eating. so im trying not to eat after 11 then go down to 10 then so on til i get to 9pm. but, its hard so i have been drinking alot of Water or if i do get hungry i eat veggies. im not really a food eater its sweets with me. and it sucks but, im hang n in there. ok i got on my moms scale today just cuz it was there and according to it i have lost 4lbs. it would feel great if i was right. but, gonna wait til tuesday and see what ww scale says. so the weekend is a bad time for me. what about everyone else.? so here is what i had today.

b-med coffee, 1fruit crisp bar,cheese stix=6pts

l- ranch chix wrap,med. cof,cr,splenda=9pts

s-1baked drum stix,1aspargus,.25c mashed pot.=3pts

s2- 16oz orange tea, cheese stix=4pts

d-i dont know.

so 20pts eaten out of my 44 so far. will add dinner in later.

I did so good mon-friday but sat I blew it and then was mad and did sunday. I did not work out or walk sat sun. I had fought my band being empty as long as I could. I'm so mad at myself the 6 pounds I lost last week are going to show on the scale in the morning. talk about falling off the band wagon I had pizza and mcdonalds and hashbrown cassrole. This is the worst I have ate since nov 09 before my band. It is my own fault but I'm going to do better this week. I cant wait till they put my Fluid back this week. I'm so glad the rest of you stayed strong over the weekend. start back at gym in morning and i'm going to stay an extra hour. My dr is going to be so dissapointed that I gained during my unfill.

Hi all...

I'm 1 month out from surgery and on soft foods now....

Does WW really work for all of you??? What about the carbs??? My surgeon advocates low carb diet. I am intrested to know how you guys really do this as if it would help me I would do it online as well. I'm at a high weight so I know I would have a lot of points to use...I'm just really curious how this works for you all....

You can send me a private email if you'd like just put lap band or ww in the subject line...

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
