. I love yogurt, but it's not really low carb so I've cut it out.

hi greorgia- the market i shop at, ralph's, has their brand of low carb yogurt. i've only seen 3 different flavors: vanilla, strawberry, and raspberry. i usually stock up for the whole week. i think they only have 3net carbs.

I wish we had that around here. I can't even find greek yogurt anymore. When Walmart carried Oikos greek yogurt, I stocked up because they usually didn't have many in stock. They haven't had any in a month, so I'm assuming they don't carry it anymore. Sooo frustrating!

I saw Greek Yogurt at Walmart and it was like about $1.50 for a 4 oz container. Way too expensive! I buy a all natural no sugar kind and add sf Syrup to it. Good stuff.

Yep! The Oikos brand was $1.46 for 5 oz. But since they were the only place in town that had them, I paid it! My town is lacking in the grocery dept. We have walmart, winn dixie, and harvey's....that's it! They're all pretty dinky too if you ask me.

Why would Greek yogurt be any more expensive than any other. That's crazy and I am 100% Greek.

Beats me. Maybe the way they make it takes more time or has more ingredients?

Hi everyone. I was just wondering how many grams of Carb do you limit in your diet daily? I am doing high Protein and low calorie and that seems to work well, but just curious about the carbs. Thank you!

I was doing between 20-30 during my weight loss stage.

Some days it was way below that. It really depended on

whether or not I went out to eat that day.

I have a question for the whole group. Here is my situation...I lost fast for the first 6 months. Then I quit losing and have stabalized for the last 6 months. I still have 50 pounds to lose. I know I would do better on low carb, but I really have a problem eating veggies. I get stuck with lettuce, broccoli, green Beans that aren't mush and carrots. I can't live on meat alone and even have a little trouble with it getting stuck too. I have tried chewing it all up very fine before swallowing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Can anyone offer some insight into this? Am I overly sensitive? I hate shakes and refuse to live on them.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

Thank goodness for your comments. I thought I was losing it and today I ask my lap band dr about the inability to eat veggies and meat. I throw it all up no matter how little it is processed. He said it is normal. So I am still eating very minimal real food. shake for Breakfast and I seem to be able to eat fish better than chicken and beef so I usually eat tuna for lunch. Cottage cheese for snack. I cant eat cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, green Beans ........ Hope your problam gets better soon.

Yea! Alow carb group! I was banded 1/10/08 and have only lost 42 lbs, that was the first 8 months. Then, weight loss just stopped. I kept having to go back and forth on fills because I couldn't find that spot! So anyway, I started low carb 5 days ago and I've already lost 6 lbs! I have about 100 more to go. So, in your carb counts, do ya'll do net carbs?

I do not agree with your dr. The band is meant to work with hard Protein. You sound too tight to me. If I were you, I would get a slight unfill.

Even having the smallest amount of saline taken out can make a huge difference. It is NOT normal to be able to eat a minimal amount of real food!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
