Hi All-- I follow the threads every few days but don't usually have a lot to add.

egorsgirl1----I'm glad to hear you are with the rest of us that that everything went well.

I am feeling a bit more energy since I started added a few carbs a few days ago. I'm getting a few spoonfuls of refried Beans. They help me feel better. I have until next Fri on the egg, soft cheese, refried beans --and then I can have some fish or chicken.< /p>

Totally get the whole eye thing - I use to alway increase my font size but forget lately - another old age thingie - that's why I love this thread...:lol::tongue: I wish that we could just set our font from the get go...

Lynn - I found homemade foods so much more satisfying than the canned stuff - and you gotta use your imagination - have you ck'd out the food thread for ideas...

I NEVER get to sleep in on the weekends - the Angel wakes me up 5 ish and sometime at 2 - 3 - 4 .... But it's better than the alternative  - but I do go back to bed on Sat & Sundays - but I get up at 5 on weekdays How old is your grandson??

Thin - Congrats on the 1.2 lbs

Penny - See note to Lynn above - ck out the food thread - I used a lot of imagination on that mushie stage

Denise - No baby yet :tongue2:

Hows the cravings going

I was out and about today - picking up taxes - shopping cuz I am getting $$$ back - then went to the grocery store for my weekly shopping - I was starving cuz I hadn't eaten all day - I walked by things I use to eat - Looked at them lovingly - picked them up - looked at the calories - and but them all back - got a watermelon and some strawberries:tongue:

Oh ya - back to the shopping - got 2 pairs of shoes (both heels - i use to wear only flats or if I did get a heel it was 1 or 2 inch only) and Denise remember I got a pair of 8 jeans a while back - well they were on sale today - so took a size 6 into the dressing room (cuz the 8's are loose) and guess what THEY FRIGGING FIT... BUT AND THERE IS A BUT

I am in no way a size 6 - these pants must run large - cuz at old navy I got a 10 and they were on the tight side. But the tag says 6 and they are hanging in my closet right now where as last yr at this time 18/20 's where what was hanging in my closet...:sneaky:

Isn't that a great feeling Janet! I had the same problem with some black jeans I got at Pennys. I had barely worn them and they got too big and had to go back and get a smaller size.

I wish we had an old navy here.

Lynn, in the second part of your post, the font is bigger and easier to read. The first couple lines were smaller for some reason. Hope you're feeling stronger soon to keep up with your grandson.

My DD hasn't had her baby yet. Her doc said she could come in Monday and he would try something to move the process along. He won't induce her until she is one week past her due date which is Monday. I need my grand baby to get here so we can all come to AZ

to get my dad's house ready to sell.

We have an Old Navy here in Delaware, but I haven't been in there in so many years, except to shop with my girls. I am hoping to be able to buy some cute summer clothes in there soon.

Grocery shopping is a lengthy process these days. I spent 1 1/2 hours last week just for a few items. I stopped and read all the labels. Mainly looking at Protein and carbs. I feel better about what I have in my house as food choices now.

I have received so many recipes ideas and am starting to try them. As long as I am able to make things taste good I am happy. I am doctoring up many protein mixes with a little off the shelf altenatives. Not tating too bad.

My grandson is 2 1/2 years old. He wore himself out yesterday. He went to bed and was out in just a few minutes. I was still energetic enough to play with him the whole time. It is so great to have this feeling of energy. Only issue is I am still not supposed to pick anything up over 10#, so of course picking him up was out of the question.

Heading out for a nice walk, before more yardwork..

Hey guys, my shoulder is feeling better so I decided to start typing on LBT again. (I moved my mouse to the left hand so it's only typing that hurts me now.) We'll see how it goes.

Just what this crazy woman puts me through sometimes, and here I am trying to get on the lapband wagon my self. At least I can figure out what to do from the mistakes we make with her.

P.s. she doesn't always let me see her posts, I think she is afraid I will embarass her.

Sharon

You are in bandster hell - we all have been there. What food stage are you on?? You just gotta find something low fat - sugar free - low calorie to eat when you have super hungry - LF string cheese 50 c 6 grms pt

Distractions always help too - I get on LBT - go wash my face - do a crossword puzzle - play with the dogs - anything to take my mind off of the food - 99% of the time it is headhunger not real hunger - I am a big one who ate out of boredom...

Welcome Deborah

Congrats on your band.

Yes we have a lot of young ones out there and that's why the 50 thread is great - I am lucky cuz on my Lucky 7 thread we have a very good mix of young and old.

The band is a great tool - but that's all it is - Each of us lose weight differently - Follow your doc's eating plan - exercise and it will come off.

I'm a Sharon too! At night a good snack for me was a sugar free Jello and a light yogurt alternated in a wine glass, looked like a parfait when i was done. Sometimes I would get so hungry i would just go to bed at night so I wouldnt eat. Also, not sure what foods your Doc lets you have right now, but string cheese is good. Make your Snacks a Protein. It seems to keep you satisfied for longer.

I am 53 and banded in January. After close to 3 months, I've lost a total of 25 pounds. Not much is it? The only times I have seen the scale move down is like RIGHT AFTER a fill. For the first couple of weeks I cannot get much down and, of course, the scale moves. After the two weeks is up, the scale doesn't go back up, but I don't lose either. Luckily I don't have a huge amount to lose but I am wondering is anyone else has this problem and if it is due to my age.

Cindy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
