Today is 3 weeks since surgery and I'm down a total of 19.6lbs since then. I would have done better this past week if I'd been able to get the exercise in that I was supposed to. Unfortunately, the ongoing heat made me have to scale back from that and prioritize keeping myself hydrated, since my doctor still wants me to only drink 1 ounce of fluids every 15 minutes. Of course, in the past week, I have been able to increase my fluid intake by not following that instruction. As a result, I have felt considerably better, though still probably not at optimal hydration. Goal is to get exercise in this week once the temps drop a little.

Still remaining on liquids only diet, as per my doctor. He wants me to go 8 weeks on liquids. I am going to give him until my next follow up appointment in 2 weeks. I still haven't really developed an appetite or hunger yet, which has been nice. I just drink my protein shakes at their appointed times because it's what I am supposed to do, rather than any feeling of hunger.

My biggest issues right now are energy (I am still tired a lot and have some light headed episodes when I stand up) and constipation. I'd give anything to get rid of those issues because I feel like I would be in a much better place mentally if I didn't have to contend with them on top of everything else.

Hey Guys,

My OP date was July 23rd! I feel fantastic, which is somewhat scary because i expected to feel so bad by now. I Doctor/Plan Coordinator where more concerned about fluids that I really didn't have conditions placed on me except try to get my 64 oz. So that has been blown out of the waer. I am not starting early on the next week, but should I be worrying adding broths and other clear liquids that are not water - to my 64 oz of water? In others words _ I am adding them - and maybe I should not!

hey everyone. hope you are all well. @mmmmhill, I can relate, I too feel fantastic. It Is a little shocking, Ive been able to take hour long walks and not feel drained. I see my doctor in a few days for follow up visit. I hope all is well. It has been a little tough getting all my protein in. The dietician did tell me not to worry If I am unable to do 80g of protein so long as I am able to get liquids in. I have been at around 50g of protein per day.

Today is the day! I'm heading up to the hospital in a few hours for my sleeve. I'm so so so nervous but also really excited to have it over with. Hope you all are well!

I'm back in the July surgery club! I was postponed due to Covid, but when I called them today to follow up, they said they could take me on THURSDAY!! So I am now doing a three day CRASH liquid diet vs. the two week liquid diet originally required (I made sure they knew I had eaten food this weekend!) I am soooo excited!!

So congrats to everyone having surgery this week.

day 8 . I did a little too much over the weekend trying to walk my dog in 100 degree index.Dah

Fluids intake needs to improve. wrap to hold my belly firming which helps with better movement and support.

Follow up with doctor down 18 in 6 days. The first two days home I peed every 15 minutes for l peed for most of the entire day. Seriously.

my belly itches very well from the bond adhesive. cold pack helps also for the pain if any

I have not used any pain meds just ice pack.

Stomach spasms are something.. Just stand up. I try to drink water every time I get up to go anywhere in my condo. before you know it your intake is done for the day

I love my premiere CLEAR PROTEIN shakes after surgery they seem to be too sweet. I made some herbal tea mixed it and now have a delicious beverage with purpose. My doctor said what a great idea !

Bowel movements . Make it happen ...try not to use unnatural products for it strips your body fluids. I used watermelon. I blended to a beverage. Its a large source of fiber and fluid..

down to rest guys take care and thank you for being here for me to share and learn

I use an abdominal wrap to hold my belly while ambulating. It feels so much better than letting your belly hang.
