I sometimes have that feeling when I eat meat proteins, but sometimes other stuff will do it too. It helps if eat very slowly. When I do get that feeling, sometimes I do vomit. Either way, walking around seems to help.

Yes. Try eating slower and chew more

Absolutely. Get up and walk. Take some deep breathes. Do not drink although you will be tempted to do so . Focus on chewing each piece . At first I put my fork down between bites to force the new eating /chewing.

My new date is July 22nd! My original date was May 18th but they canceled the day of my preop
I was provided that date two months prior and they flew by. Here I am waiting another two months and hoping it fly's by again!

Don't be surprised if you can swallow liquids very easily. Like other people have mentioned, restriction is different with a bypass. I had none with liquids, very little with pureed food. Now that I'm eating soft meats I can feel it. Good luck, I am rooting for you!
