Researching online, it seems like a lot of people implement their own plans

That's basically the only way you're going to stick to this long term: find out what works for you.

I also go not care for eggs or bananas. I also do not like artificial sweeteners. So I struggled hard my first 10 weeks after surgery. I was able to get my Protein with FairLife Milk and CorePower Protein Drinks. I am now 6 months post op. I can not eat bacon or sausage. It makes me rather nauseous. I would suggest trying other things that provide protein with less fat and sodium. But who am I to say.
I do not want to return to my bad eating habits. I struggle with being able to exercise due to me being handicapped.
We all have our own struggles and vices.

I recommend searching your soul. Find out what and who you are in your self. It is not an easy process, but you find out what you have been lying to yourself about for years, in my case decades. After all if you have told yourself this crap, what have you told others. Be true to yourself , or your life will be false to you.

If you don’t like a lot of “breakfast” foods, or they don’t fit in your plan, no need to eat them for Breakfast. Maybe a quesadilla with fat free cheese and a small, low carb wrap? I really like lox and if you skip the full bagel with it, it’s high Protein, low calorie.

3. Have you cheated and still lost?

I wouldnt say that I have cheated per se since im not super strict with food anymore after reaching my biggest milestone, but yeah, Ive still lost weight after having a "large" day of food. I think it's my bodies way of saying that I "need" more calories. Still, when I look back over my food journals, my "large" days arent so large but more less structured (since im at home right now) than they should be.

You should avoid all high fat foods...try turkey products...higher in Protein and less fat. Are you still seeing your dietician? You should because you shouldn’t be eating bacon at 6 weeks post op.

Are you a dietician? Not sure why you are telling people what they should or should not eat when a lot of bariatric patients are successful with Keto, which is high fat. I wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't tell people not to either.

Not telling someone what to do, just suggesting based off of what I was told by the two dieticians I meet with monthly. I will refrain from further posts since you are overly critical in your digestion of suggestions.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
