Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

  • Popular Post

Hey y'all! Anyone and everyone is welcome to jump in and join us.

This is the Intermittent Fasting DAily Menu/Results/Accountability Thread. It's where a few of us (or many) are going to log in and encourage each other while we experiment with our own IF plans. You can list or talk about anything--not just your food. I look forward to adding in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and core exercises to my walking plan while practicing IF. So expect to hear about that too. ;) hehe I expect some of us will talk about the known IF side-effects like insomnia, circadian rhythm disturbance, etc. It's all good! Let's hack this IF mofo! mkay? :D

There is not any 1 specific IF plan--there are so many to choose from, so this is a BYOIFP (bring-your-own-IF-plan) and join the fun! This is the thread where we'll post our daily menus and maybe some piccys at times! We can discuss progress, issues we might notice, look at how we may want to refine our own personal plans. I do think you should be healed from surgery and have your doctor's and RD's blessings to try something like this and you should do a ton of research and reading about Intermittent Fasting.

IF isn't only about weight loss, it's about taking specific measures to limit either quantities, calories, macros, or sometimes only consciously altering eating windows/schedules in order to effect metabolic change and reduce inflammation and improve health markers.

Ok, let's do this thang!!!

Cardio for health. LOL.

I'm good. Trying to ween off Miralax. God, I don't know if I can do it. I'm up to 2 Mag Citrate vitamins plus fiber + Colace. Think MOM may be coming for a visit. :)

Stuck at 152.4lbs.

Good luck with testing today!!! Hope it goes quickly and you get to drink a boat load.

Your dinner looks yummy!

Mandated 12 hr dry fasting for routine testing and I'm already so thirsty. Is there such a thing as head thirst? Lol

Checking out my gallbladder in the AM just to prove whether or not I am a sleeve unicorn (dumping syndrome) or a regular @$$ lol.

How is everyone else doing?

I don't know which yours is but I went through something really similar. When I would have pains, I would practically drop to the floor it was so bad. I did finally get myself to the ER one time and they still couldn't tell if it was my gall bladder or not but some numbers they were watching were seriously elevated so they checked me into the hospital until those numbers came down. They couldn't figure out what it was but they did recommend that I talk to my PCP and have my gall bladder out since it was known that I had stones anyway. Finally had it out. Oddly, I had those pains several more times to my embarrassment. Someone told me that that could happen. Eventually they stopped and have never had them again! And they are so different from dumping syndrome!! Best of luck!

I've never had to "dry" fast for blood work. What type of testing are they doing, if you don't mind my asking?

Wait a minute... Am I the only person not ... Exercising my way to better health???

LOL

I haven't been getting much exercise myself either... not just because the "Exercise equipment" is typically busy at work, but my "exercising mood" swings much harder than before... never in my life would I have thought about turning down some "exercise" but yet... that sheets happening.

Wait, wait ... I thought you were boo'd up??

You don't sign up for a gym membership with getting a day pass and make sure all the equipment is in working order and meets your specifications, do you?

I only take the tour when membership is confirmed! Lol

Almost boo'd up!

Alright ... don't sign a long term contract until you find out the elliptical isn't busted!

Okay--I'm on board because I need an intervention! So if I do 16:8, if I'm correct, I'm eating all of my nutrition and meeting my nutrition goals in that 8 hour period. For example: Eating hours 6am to 2pm. And then the rest of the time up until the following day at 6am I'm drinking water (with flavor allowed) and tea. Yes? This seems like a good beginner plan to start off with. And I think not eating dinner will basically suck monkey....yaknow....at first...but I'm a morning person and most of my work is in the morning so I need my brain functioning best during those hours :P

I will say I read this thread in it's entirety and learned a HECK TON. And I'm so proud of all of your successes!
