@redhead_che Welcome! I have long admired your amazing bikini pic, seriously green with envy! :P Glad you are finding IF easy and effective. I also find fasting in the morning to be far easier than at night!

@Matt Z ... Ugh, so sorry you're dealing with all that. I think it's really good you acknowledge the 200 lb goal is arbitrary and doesn't lessen the incredible success you have had. Doesn't make it feel better though! I also admire you for going to the gym while dealing with shingles. The mountain climbing is awesome, and would scare the sh*t out of me!

Thank you!
(I've also admired her bikini pic, she looks fan-fukin-tastic,I'd love to see before and after photos from her, I'm sure the transition was impressive!)

CBD oil?

Get well soon and you're still Sexy AF on any side of 200 lbs...

I've got some dronabinol that I take for sleep that helps a tiny bit, it's just THC though. I don't have any CBD oil sadly. SWIM reports that cannabis helps out quite a bit and nightly use helps with pain. I'm a federal employee though so, *I* can't partake in anything not legal at the federal level (thank heavens the FDA approved a THC medication even though they claim THC doesn't do anything worthwhile... *eyeroll*) but SWIM reports positive effects on pain.

I don't even know what being sexy feels like. I'm still dealing with some bizarre body dysmorphia. I still see myself and feel very fat. But thank you.

Ask and you shall receive! This is from 225 and 127. I’m going for 115-120 now with IF. 💪

I do 99% of my progress photos in that silly little bikini just to track where work still needs to be done. I promise I do wear clothes 😂

I did the same, I read everything, watched the videos, did my own research... really is an amazing "diet" method that has so much factual science behind it, I just couldn't not do it. Feels more like this is how we are supposed to eat (how are bodies are designed to work), from a purely physiological standpoint.

Ok, here's some stuff:

I have this cream called Pennsaid. https://www.pennsaid.com/

Then also:

Emla Cream https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-2358-8170/emla-topical/lidocaine-prilocaine-cream-topical/details

Aloe Vera with Lidocain (Walgreens/CVS)

oatmeal Baths (colloidal oatmeal) - Aveeno (Walgreens/CVS)

Cold Baths

Cold Compresses

No tight clothing

Then the big guns:

Gabapentin (Neurontin)

Amytriptiline (nerve pain, tri-cyclic anti-depressant)

Norco (hydrocodone + acetominophen) - 10/325 (I take this when I can't stand the pain anymore.)

Also the combo of muscle relaxants and Norco works awesome when the neuralgia is at a 8-10.

Hope those help you hon!

I would wear it to work, to play, to restaurants and plays! To Walmart. I'd have 7 of them and wear 1 per day. :)

Oh and I would also have a boom box with me playing this repetitively...

I love IF. I'm back down to my published weight after this weekend's hedonistic bacchanalia. (Just sayin', Johan Sebastian...man everyone should party with that dude!)

I wouldn't limit myself to 7, I'd have one in every color imaginable .... kelly green, lime green, forest green, lemon yellow, mustard yellow, coral, safety vest orange ......

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
