Food Before and After Photos

Like weight loss before and after photos but of your new diet !

I'm especially interested in before and after meal photos (take a pic at the point you feel restriction) but it can be of recipe substitutions, your refrigerator/pantry/shopping cart/etc

Wish me luck, I broke out the Chinet for this!

Haha. Looks so good! Are these steak bites? Set a Chinet plate out for me, too!

They are burnt ends, basically super good brisket, it’s really rich so I had to throw in the napkin after 2.5 ounces.

We bought a bunch, plus chicken and chicken wings. My thin 21 year old son mowed through more of it than I anticipated. He’s usually not a huge carnivore or a big eater. I planned on 3 meals, might end up being 2!

I may have to cook on Father’s Day now dammit.

I swear, sometimes i think I live under a rock. I have never heard of burnt ends until i read this! Well, i did some googling/reading/video watching and now consider myself a burnt ends superfan, lol. Part of my next brisket is going to turn into an awesome looking dish of Kansas City Burnt Ends! Thanks for the inspiration!

What’s next on the BBQ menu?!?!

P.S. we got a tomahawk steak waiting to be grilled in fridge as we speak for tomorrow *rubs carnivore-ic hands with glee*

Veg kebab with red onion and I made tzatziki again. Spiced it up with Rad el Hanout spice mix for kebab. Unfortunately I didn't have any flat bread in the freezer left.

Made homemade kofta... it was delicious. I ate 2 pieces , half a mini naan , 1 piece each of grilled onion and tomato with tsp each hummus and tzakai sauce.

Last night’s Father’s Day Dinner, Part Deux:

- Sticky, sweet and spicy 9-hr slow cooker ribs then further basted and caramelized in oven (Kid’s request)

- cucumber salad (the obligatory vegetable)

- cheesy jalepeno corn bread (Mr.’s request)

- ...and a FLINTSTONE-esque Tomahawk Steak. To put things in perspective, that grill plate is 50cm wide (or 19.7”).

I had basically all the cucumbers, as the fam was not in a plant eating mood, and about 3.5oz of the steak. Later had a slice (about 1.5 oz) of the cherry almond flan (store bought), and paid the price. Was worth it, I loooove frangipane in ANY dessert.

Father's Day simplistic meal plan - LOL. Breakfast (scrambled eggs), lunch (shrimp) and dinner (tried a new navy bean Soup recipe) with basil/dried tomato flatbread. Hubbies portion, then Sophie's. And, Yay. Peach season! My favorite summertime fruit.

Now, I must try that Kanas City burnt corners brisket!!!

I usually keep cooking simple and to a minimum during the summer months. Too hot to grill outdoors, and southern exposed kitchen with large windows even with A/C builds up heat. BUT we do experience phenomenal sunsets, so built home accordingly. However, cooking therapy might remain active thru 2020. Hummmm... what to make next? Haha.

Is Tomahawk steak like prime rib? Tender? BQ inside or outdoors? WOW! What an AMAZING spread. Like YUM.

(Close, front porch. I normally sit out in the back porch for morning coffee, but the view is not as nice.)

I need me some strawberries!!!
