Venturing back into egg territory! I give eggs up often because I don’t think I actually like them but they are considered a Breakfast staple.

Fluffy scrambled eggs, vegan sausage and French bread (not my plate as usual)

What is everyone’s favorite egg style?

I like a fried egg, scrambled too, poached as well—-hard boiled and of course deviled!!

Either poached or in a baked good. Lately though I’ve been contemplating making a deviled egg salad to top some crispy pita chips.

While I may be in the middle of a baking spree (I’ll post pictures later), I did make a potato leek Soup and this here Panera knockoff turkey chili.

Scrambled all the way. Don’t mind the odd omelette with celery, capsicum, spinach, mushrooms & of course cheese. Never been fond of poached except as eggs Benedict & smothered in hollandaise sauce but that’s off the menu now 😁

Had to look after niece #3 yesterday but before my brother went to a parent information session at her new school, we had a late lunch early dinner. My niece wanted Mexican & the only thing on the menu without chilli I could eat was … calamari (why is it always calamari?) as they could omit the chilli salt. It was a starter & the waiter said several times it was a very small portion & I’d want to order something else - good grief!! I ate most of it with some help from my niece. Also drank most of the passion fruit & lychee margarita. 😁

I did! I also just added the whole bag of shelled edamame and the rest of the frozen corn bag I had. And I used shredded carrots I had leftover from a something else I made.

Sour patch kids crinkle Cookies, chocolate Reese’s cookies, mint chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate espresso espresso biscotti, mini vanilla cupcakes (I’ll top with buttercream before work), and I tried my hand at royal icing on top of pumpkin shaped sugar cookies… definitely need to practice with the royal icing.

… I did end up eating the small ends from the biscotti, a sour patch cookie (holy sour sweet!), and an unfrosted sugar cookie but still only ended up eating around 1500 calories with the cookies and meals I ate yesterday.

@Arabesque, while the calamari looks good, that drink is MOUTHWATERING. Did it taste as refreshing as it looks???

@Starwarsandcupcakes, All Hail the Cookie QUEEN. Holy crap, I want to jump into that batch of mint chocolate chip Cookies. Are you feeding an army?? I would like to enlist. P.S. I too tried my hand at royal icing many moons ago. I suck and gave up. I also suck a fondant work, but I haven't thrown in the towel for those yet....

I sort of am. I work in a hospital so my coworkers include just about everyone. I try to vary what I make when I bake so that way everyone has something they can enjoy.

Today's lunch...though its past 4pm so maybe its an early dinner?

Anyoo, sat myself on the couch in front of the TV to do some binge watching and dig into this ginormous salad that I made cuz I was STARVING (one of those busy-forgot-to-eat days): 351 calories. Ate about 2/3 of it. Rest went back in the fridge for later.

We like Chicago Med, but have you noticed how very graphic they make their shots of peoples' insides?

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
