How is your skin holding up

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Supringly well I was really concerned my stomach was going to have a lot of excess skin especially since I have two children but so far it doesn’t . But I still have a little pouch that I think longer term I will need to do an ab work out to help reduce . My boobs have lost a lot of weight and they don’t have a lot of skin but if I pull the skin there definitely is some and I think they are saggy now and would like to get a breast lift down the road . (Mybe a better bra would help in the meantime lol)

So I had my 3 month visit today and am officially down 70 lbs . My surgeon seemed kind of shocked. Did anyone else’s surgeon/nutritionist seem surprised by your weight loss?

Yes, mine were.

Okay we actually had our surgeries pretty close. I think my diet before the surgery was so bad and once I went on a sugar free carb free diet it put my body into shock.

I’m surprised they thought that wasn’t fast enough. I don’t think 44lbs is a little, that a huge accomplishment.
Did they suggest anything to help increase weight loss?

We don't really talk about calories much but are you supposed to be consuming a certain number of calories? I had my 3 Month post-op meeting with my surgeon last week and he reminded me that I'm supposed to be consuming 1200 calories or less everyday.

Also happy to report that I'm officially down 63 pounds as of today!

Congrats on 63 down!

At my 3-month group appointment, my nutritionist told us to keep it below 1000 calories, but then told me separately I could go "a little over that" because I'm tall, but then refused to tell me what "a little over" means in terms of, you know, calories. :P I'm sometimes not sure even nutritionists know what's up sometimes. From what I've gathered on the internet, most doctors recommend somewhere between 900 and 1200 for the stage we're at right now.

I was sugar free carb free for a while before surgery, I wonder now...
No suggested changes, I'm following the plan. Maybe more exercise but I can't for a while.
Congrats on your success!

Thank you !

Yeah I did sugar free , carb free until yesterday . My doctor told me with my weight loss I can begin to safely add low quantities of carbs back into my diet.

I do really think it’s my walking and swimming is what has boosted my weight loss but I don’t push myself I don’t do it on the weekend and if I’m tired or need a day off I take it . Just do what you’re comfortable with.

Now im curious...

how are you able to take 22000 steps in a day?

And by Carb free you mean 0 grams?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
