Okay so it's come to my attention that I'm not sure how to edit this post more than once, can anybody help me out with this? I'd really appreciate the help Or am I just going crazy?

I think support from the other people going through this is important, and I want everyone to be able to connect with the people who might be going through this at the same time if you want. So this isn't meant to be more than informative in case you want to message or follow people having surgery in July. If I've made any mistakes I apologize, just message me and I can edit the list There are certainly noticeably busy days! If you'd like to be added msg me, again sorry if I got an incorrect date, I just wanted to try and help because there are a lot of threads about July, and it's fast approaching. Danee was kind enough to create a group on Facebook called "July 2017 Sleevers." It is private, so nobody on fb will see the posts or comments you make within the group, unless they are members. Everyone here is welcome to join!

Dr. Illian directed that I stop taking my BC pills 10 days prior to my surgery date. I was just curious if anyone else was asked to do this and if they were given the "why" behind it? A combination of my time of the month quickly approaching and the liquid pre-op diet has got me a little emotional lately.

I think I've cried more in the last 3 weeks (usually at romantic comedies) then I have in the last 3 years combined haha. I wasn't told to stop my BC, however I take get DepoProvera. Have you emailed to see why? Is it specifically because they are pills?

I would like to join, but my understanding of a private Facebook group is that anyone can search the group and see who its members are. I am not sharing my surgery with anyone other than my husband , so I do not want my membership to be searchable. Starting a FB group was a great idea, though! Hopefully everyone will still pop in on this site too!

I completely understand. I was worried about the same thing, but according to FB only members can see what's in the group. I have only told 4 people, and I definitely don't need my family finding out that I am having surgery in Mexico on FB. They would freak out.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one is who going through this!

I didn't ask the why behind his reasoning because it really wasn't a big deal to me (*TMI* my libido has been NIL since I was about 6 months pregnant...and my son is almost 2) and I just assumed it was a common practice for these type of procedures.
