Vitamin and B12 patches
I initially was using the chew-able vitamins from my doctors office. However, I had to take nausea medicine every time I took them because they made me sick. I got to the point I just quit taking them which I know is not a good idea. I decided to try the patches just this week; even though my nutritionist doesn't recommend them when I asked her pre-op. She said they are new and studies haven't been done to show the absorption and long term effects. I am trying out the multivitamin plus, B12/ Energy, and D3/ Calcium patch this month. I am going to see how I feel on the patches. I also have been struggling with vitamin D and b12 deficiency for well over a year prior to surgery so. I may supplement those with sublingual drops as I take more than the normal dosage, advised by my physician.I will update after a month as to how its going.

July Sleevers!!!
- July 31 I'm getting sleeved
July 31 Sleeve Date here as well. PreOp diet starts July 17 th, but I have already started having a protein shake for breakfast this week and will increase to adjust to my full liquid preop diet. My Surgeon preop visit is July 27 and then I have a educational class to take on July 26?- Understanding my 6 month preop diet insurance requirements?
I have BCBS Alabama and mine was 6 consecutive months with my PCP. I went in every month and saw the nurse to get weighed and discuss my diet and exercise plan they made notes on a form they have which was in turn reviewed, signed by PCP, and submitted to the insurance company. I also had to include an office note for the previous 3 years documenting my weight. Hope that helps.- Did anyone else not need a endoscopy??
I did not need an endoscopy. My insurance nor surgeon required it. CXR and EKG is all I needed.- July Schedule
Im new here ??I just got my surgery date this week! July 31, 2017? Excited and anxious all at the same time. I am requesting 6 weeks off of work, will see if I get that approved surgeon says 2-6 weeks. I am hoping to take as much time as I can as my job restrictions will make it difficult to eat/drink as needed.- Before Pics

Anyone have Low Vit D and/ or B12 prior to surgery? Did this affect insurance approval? I have been taking Prescription D for a year and numbers came up but not enough to clear the deficiency and recent blood-work added B12 deficiency. My current PCP is suggesting to just take otc supplements (which I have been doing) previous PCP gave RX Vitamin. Just wondering mainly if it will affect approval process. Also any supplement recommendations would be great. Thanks in Advance- Low Vit D and B12 Prior to surgery, Will this be affect approval?
