Lost enough weight pre-op to cancel?
Trust me you will gain back your appetite and a lot of weight is water weight. You won't continue to lose that fast.

PCP won't write me a letter of necessity
They don't agree with surgery in general because with my insurance you just need to be 40 BMI. I'm going to call my surgeon later and see what the office says.

August Sleevers
Me too. I should have a late august or september date and it feels forever away.

PCP won't write me a letter of necessity
PCP won't write me a letter, she doesn't agree with surgery. Has anyone dealt with this? I know I need a new doctor but I don't think a new doctor will just write me the letter because I am a new patient.

Did anyone else not need a endoscopy??
I'm 19 & getting the sleeve at a hospital. My surgeon is great but doesn't want an endoscopy. (I need a H. Pylori test and blood work). I've seen other people say that they saw important things with the endoscopy before surgery. Do you guys think I should ask for one?

Gastric bypass or sleeve? How did you choose? Anyone 5 years out of surgery?

Bypass and sleeve are both good choices. But they are also just tools. If you don't change your lifestyle you will gain the weight back no matter which surgery you choose. The weight doesn't just come back by itself. My surgeon recommended the sleeve for me, less complications and bypass is bad if you want kids in the future.

Fasting in Ramadan tips
I think your religion would understand you have to eat. There isn't any way around it, you will get hungry eventually and you don't want to ruin your process or stretch out your stomach.

What was your breaking point?
Seeing old pictures of myself and tired of myself having no energy and joint pain.

I am just 20 yo and going through the process. I have been researching for a couple years and really want to. I want to know would you guys go through with it then? A couple people have been discouraging me even though I have been a mix of obese & overweight my whole life.

Looking for people in the beginning stages.
I am 215 right now and 5'3/5'4 and want to be 145. Surgeon said I could get to 160 lb in 6 months so that is exciting. what about you?

My surgeon is the opposite. I am 215 now and he expects me in a year to be around 130 and idk if i can lose that much.
