Low Vit D and B12 Prior to surgery, Will this be affect approval?

Anyone have Low Vit D and/ or B12 prior to surgery? Did this affect insurance approval?

I have been taking Prescription D for a year and numbers came up but not enough to clear the deficiency and recent blood-work added B12 deficiency. My current PCP is suggesting to just take otc supplements (which I have been doing) previous PCP gave RX Vitamin.

Just wondering mainly if it will affect approval process. Also any supplement recommendations would be great.

Thanks in Advance

Hey I just found out I have low vitamin D after my first nutritionist appointment last month. I'm on a rx pill for 8 weeks and I have united health care thru the state of WI & this is something that could affect my approval, according to my dietician. Not sure how it works for other insurances & states but I hope my levels increase after I'm done with the pill. I have 4 more weeks left on the pill. I hope everything works out for you as well but just double check maybe with your doctor and your surgery team about it.

Yeah that's what I said but my dietician said the rules/requirements changed for my insurance the end of last year but I still disagreed w/that part only because I saw the paper she was reading from and I didn't see it on there myself, but I'm also not worried about it because it wasn't too low (24.5) standard is 30.
