Congrats! So excited for you and love reading about your journey!

(Your avi makes me laugh every time I see it. Sounds like you'll be up and at 'em, skinny, and giving the Aunt Jemima treatment to some lucky girl soon!)

Update Day 13 (11/6/17)

I am on a two week post op all liquid diet. I have 7 more days to go and it is not easy. I crave something other then liquid!! But the craving is not the strong, and goes away quickly. Especially after I drink a shake lol. I am going to become a Protein Shake mixologist!

I am down to 243, starting from 250...17 pounds down.

you will feel very hungry until you start eating solid foods. Then the feeling of satisfaction is there when you eat!!!

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for it, but it is all from Mr. Sleeve.

You know, I use to say that about my lap band. However, having gained 1/2 my loss back I now know that it's a lot more of yourself than you think! Give yourself credit! You can drink lots of calories and eat lots of things that will "slide" right on through! YOU have to make the choice not to do those things in order to be successful. I know it's just the beginning but you are already do that and you deserve some kudos! :D

Great Job Killian. Do you have a nuts who specializes in bariatrics in place to help when you are able to eat more? Never too soon to begin learning what your best food choices are to make your journey as successful as you want it to be. Hunger will return and you will need to rely on your new eating habits to keep you on track. You can do this.

Yes, my Bariatrics office has 2 in house full time Nutritionists. They see you for a year (or more if you like) post surgery. They teach you what to eat, how to eat, have recipies / suggestions..very happy with them.

I just eat like a normal human being and stay away from crap. Portion Control is key first and foremost in my opinion. Secondly is selection of foods for your specific needs and goals. I prefer a higher Protein, higher fats lower carbs diet, which works well for my needs. Third most important is DO NOT deprive yourself totally. If you want an occasional treat, have it, just dont over indulge.

Stay away from processed cold cuts, sodas, sucralose and anything with the words Frutcose or corn Syrup in it...Also I hate the fact that a lot of these nutritionists push cheeses as a source of protein on their clients. cheese is high in saturated fat and not worth it as a source of protein in your diet.

Cold cuts are processed so technically they're bad but if your sleeve has no problem with them lo fat turkey off the bone is the one I've been going with and my sleeve has handled it well. I think it's a good snack cause it's high Protein low carbs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
