Ok. The exercise was crazy good today. I walked at work for well over 2 hours. 100 step ups at the ethanol rack. When I got home I hit the e-kill and did my 30 as I planned to. I got to thinking about my peeps rockin it on the challenge and went an extra 5 minutes.

Eating went just as planned. Jen made me broccoli and cheese for dinner. I got hung up after a few bites so I quit.

A ton of Water.

Tomorrows plan: (I decided to try and eat on the clock at work 6,9,12,3,6.)

6am 3 sausage patties.

9am 2oz almonds.

12pm chicken salad 1/2 cup.

3pm Celery and Peanut Butter.

6pm ???? Thinking about Taco's Turkey meat.

Let's keep the momentum up clean through the weekend!

Ya'll been killing the challenge. May have to add a little something for next weeks challenge!!

Ok, so I was MIA yesterday and am here today to hold myself accountable, since this is an accountability group.

I am PMSing like you wouldn't believe. Yesterday, even though I knew I had no hunger going on, I practically ate any and everything I got my hands on. I went and bought candy and ate a bunch. So anyway, here I am feeling some self-loathing, but also understand that this rarely happens. I will get through this. Today, I have remained on track.

I am also struggling with fatigue. I have taken a nap a couple of times this week, which is very rare for me. I hate that!

I don't even feel like myself lately. UGH!

Ive had coffee, grilled chicken salad, and a handful or two of popcorn today. Not sure what I'll do for dinner. Im angry at the hubby because he brought home two bags of mini reese's and I have a weakness for them. I believe I can stay strong.

Totally back on plan today. I ate what I posted this morning, had all of my Water and then some, did 81 total minutes of cardio, and generally feel better than yesterday.

I hope we're all planning for an OP weekend. We can and need to do this, we can't use weekends as our excuse to slack on clean eating. I'm talking to myself as much as anyone! Let's do this, peeps!!

Just splurged and had Peanut Butter kids Cereal and milk... Hubby put it in a bowl and I ate it. Not the best choice but after this week maybe I need to Celebrate. (I am not into processed stuff as it brings about arthritis if I do it often)

My mom has refused to eat. OH joy! At 90 and hospitalized it is about the only control she has. Prayers appreciated. We have little ones coming this afternoon to stay while their parents go to the hospital to visit Gram. I am thinking a big walk with kids in our double stroller is just what I need. Up hill and down... springy weather and fresh air. chicken rice vegi Soup for lunch and roast vegis and beef for dinner. Minerals and Vitamins ! Gotta do this better than early in the week!Water is delicious and no problem getting that in.

Blessings on your day friends!

Going to look at a few houses today. Scheduled another showing for Monday. If we don't find one, it won't be for a lack of trying!

Today will be OP. I've planned and prepped everything to make it easy-peasy.

B-8 oz shake w/fiber

L-2 eggs & 2 bacons

S-8 oz shake w/fiber

D-buffalo chicken & baked fries

72 oz Water, 45 min of exercise to make up for a missed walk during the week

1268c, 97p, 50nc

@justwatchme-laughed out loud at crapcorn. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love to eat it, but hate how sick I feel after I do. Enjoy the movie!!

@punkinvine-enjoy the day with the family. I'll keep your mom in my prayers.

Everybody else- look forward to hearing how you're working the plan!!!

Ate according to plan, drank 80 oz Water, walked 3 fast miles. Notching our walking challenge up with some new ankle weights. It's amazing what an extra 1 1/2 pounds per ankle will add to a walk. ????

I've got meals planned for tomorrow. I made a new chicken & rice Soup today for tomorrow. All I have to do in the morning is stick it in the crock pot and it will be ready for us after church. Working to make it happen!!

@2babutterfly-congrats on that loss!!! Hope your trip is relaxing and fun!

Hope everyone is doing well!

I need to be here building community with people working with their bands -- the doing. Guess I have been thinking about what I'm feeling a lot lately; need to think about what I'm DOING about the feelings. I need to take care of myself more and others less. So here I am doing that, but baby steps lest I trip myself up.

My comfort drink is cranberry aloe Water. I fill a 32 oz glass bottle with 1/2 unsweetened cranberry and 1/4 aloe vera -- the rest is our beautiful Water. When I drink a lot of this I feel really good. Hydrated and less likely to overdo caffeine (tea fiend) and/or evening cocktails. So today, Sunday, I'm going to drink three, count 'em, three, bottles of my cranberry water and promise myself to report back. Baby steps. I really, really want to drop down into the seventies. High time. It will happen.

That cranberry aloe sounds delicious. I'm stopping at Trader Joe's this morning and hopefully they will have those two ingredients.

Yesterday food was on plan and NO Snacks at the movies! Woo hoo! Helps when I go with a human being.

I didn't walk yesterday so I'm glad I met the weekly challenge early. Hope to walk tonight. My daughter's boyfriend is coming over for lunch and then I'm taking her to the airport to go back to school. I'll miss her. It's been a nice week.

I'm headed into my CoDA meeting now. Had church this morning and Breakfast with my mom. Balance.

My court date got postponed because NSETBEx's lawyer has a trial conflict. It's a mixed blessing. Dragging things out again, but on the plus side, I don't have to go to court a day after my birthday or miss an important work project installation.

I've been driving around looking at homes but since my calendar was so full this weekend I wasn't able to do any open houses. Hopefully next Saturday. Next Sunday I'm having guests for lunch and visiting. Trying to keep social things going instead of isolating.

Today I commit to Protein for the rest of the day plus that new cranberry drink and some walking in the early evening. Have a good Sunday, everyone.

JWM, I get the cranberry at Trader Joe's and the aloe at Vitamin Shoppe (their brand) -- and sometimes if I'm Jones-ing for sweet (PMS, etc.), I add some steevia. The brand I like is liquid from TJ''s also....

@@Bandista - that cranberry aloe sounds good!!

@@JustWatchMe - you are one busy bee! Kudos for not snacking at the movies! VICTORY!

All is well with me today. House hunting stinks. We can't find anything that meets our needs and is in our price range. It's discouraging, but will come in God's time and we really wouldn't have it any other way.

Today's plan:

B - 8 oz shake w/fiber

L - 2 eggs & 2 bacons

S - 8 oz shake w/fiber

D - chicken & rice Soup

72 oz Water, and a day off from exercise

977c, 90p, 57nc

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Sunday afternoon!

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
