Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?

I know this has to be on everyone's mind, their final results. I did get very, very small post op VSG. I got down to a size 0... though my goal was only to get to a size 8. I said I'd be happy to be out of the double-digit pants (a very far cry from my largest size 28W!!) and honestly never imagined even getting that small. But I did and I blew right past a size 8. I kept telling myself that I never wanted to get too skinny, but I won't lie - the smaller I got the more I liked it. It's no secret I've gained some back, but now that I'm back on track I know I won't mind getting back into my size 0's again. In fact I have them hanging up outside my closet ready to be re-worn. I'm not that far away, time passes and pounds melt away.

How do you feel about getting "skinny"? Do you want to? It's okay to be open about it, we're all thinking the same things believe it or not. No matter which surgery we've individually had, we do all share majority of the same shames and struggles as each other.

OK, yes. My ideal would also be a size 8. Maybe a 6. The last time I remember being smaller than that, I was in 6th grade, and I think that would be too much for my lady-frame. (I developed boobage since age 12!) So that's what I am going for.

I feel pretty good as a size 10 and wonder what it will be like to dip into the single digit range. It is too much fun to bring in my size 31 (12) jeans to the consignment store!!!!!!! Buh-bye size 12! :)

I would like to be thin but I still want my curves.. hips and boob galore! lol After that a "ideal size or weight" hasnt been on my mind. If i end up a 0 but still have my ideal shape I'll be happy but if everything just flattens out on my I wont be

Oh yeah! I would like to be back into a size 4. For sure there are health benefits in getting rid of life-shortening co-morbidities. I can't WAIT to have the option to wear cutie patootie designer clothes I can get really cheap from Ebay!

I don't want to get 'skinny'. Throughout my teen years and yound adulthood, I was a size 7. At 17, I had two surgeries a few months apart and lost about 10 pounds. I looked horrible; I was really gaunt and didn't look healthy.

Ideally, now, over 30 years later, I believe I would be very content in a size 10, maybe even an 8, but I don't think I would look very good if I were much thinner than that.

I've never really thought about if I wanted to be "skinny" since I've been in plus sized clothes since I was 15. I've always just had a goal of being able to wear normal sized clothes. haha And I would like to keep my good curves aka assets, so I guess thin with some healthy curves would be good. :D

My adult healthiest was size 8-10, in my early thirties. I had been thinner but was anorexic and don't want to go there again. So, I want to be heathy and curvy, not skinny.

I see a lot of people talking about "curves" and I guess this question must have a lot to do with body type. The only "curves" I ever had were my breasts (which are tolerable) and my butt-in-the-front.(so NOT cute!) So since I don't have hips or a butt to speak of, skinny is just fine with me!

I don't have a goal of being "skinny." I keep being told I am "skinny enough" but those people are just nuts. I still have more to lose. I just want to look, feel and be healthy. I figure if I make it to a size 10 or 12 pants then life will be good :) I'm at a size 14 or 16 (depending on the name brand) now. So, not much longer!

Being skinny =/= not curvy. I was skinny and still curvy too. Don't automatically think that simply because you are a tiny size that it means you won't have femininity! It's one of those lies I always told myself as an excuse to not try. ;)

This is my heaviest before photo (the only one I have!) and I was a size 28W and shirt size 4X:

This is my smallest which was an XS and those are the Size 0 jeans. I was still very curvy!

Never count yourself out if you don't even know how you will turn out!

I have throughly enjoyed becoming "skinny." People look at me like I am nuts when I tell them I want to loose more. I just smile at them and walk away.

@@Trever I never made it to a "normal" BMI. I still could have lost more weight and been well within healthy weight limits. I think, speaking for myself that it's almost like I couldn't imagine myself being so small, like it wasn't possible... but it very much IS.

I want to have a bomb a$$ body not just be thin. I have always worked out and now I plan on doing it to the nines with my sleeve. I want to look good with clothes on or off. I've never been small. My lowest adult weight was 143. I am 5'6" and I was in a size 10 sometimes an 8. But I loved that size and my body. I can't imagine being a 6 or a 4. That would be crazy for me. But I will let you know. I was under 200 on the day of my surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
