Feeling guilty for living in Florida...

Recommended Posts

I got my band done in FL. Surgeon was based out of Zephyrhills. I'm sure it's the same place.

Born and raised Floridian right here!! B)

I LOVE Florida and if I ever have to leave, it WILL NOT be anywhere cold. I do not know how to live in the cold. When it gets cold down here in Orlando, (which is around 60-65 degrees to me), i get totally confused on what clothes to wear. My usual cold outfit is tights, a hoodie sweater with a tank top and flip flops.

I live in McAlpin, Fl. Near Lake City (North Fla) 45 minutes North of Gainesville (Go Gators). I was raised in Orlando and have lived in Colorado for a short time. too cold for me. It snowed non stop from Sept. til May . I hate cold weather. My husband is originally from Chicago, he tried to get me to move there years ago, I said NOT, now he would never live in Chicago again.

What do you guys think of our gorgeous weather? We had the air off today and tonight we had a nice 3 mile walk along Clearwater beach. Florida is great!!

I live in RI, the state that recently received the dubious honor of being the most corrupt state in the country. My property taxes are $7000 per year and I don't live in a luxury home. I'm a bank teller and my hubby is a mechanic, the taxes are killing us! We are seriously considering moving south where the cost of living is much, much lower. Bonus - milder winters and gun-friendly. We're thinking the Carolinas or maybe Georgia.

I will miss all the people I've gotten to know over the last 50 years but I'm friendly - I'll get to know more people wherever we end up. :-)

Around the Daytona Beach area myself. Love being 3.5 miles from the beach. I'd take this heat anytime over the snow any day. And my fella...also a fellow New Englander loves my town so he's planning on moving here too!!! Come on 2015!!! Let's get here already!!! Lol.

And Mother Nature and God have given us the most marvelous weekend in a long time! Dry air and warm temperatures. Almost too cool for the pool for this transplant Floridian.

Hi Ya'll, haven't been to this section in a while. Well, gmanbat, how do you like us now? I have had to do my one hour outside walk, earlier and earlier. But still loving the weather! If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

I am a Florida girl too. I know some people think it's too hot but I'll take it over snow, ice, sleet and rain anytime.

We have had family in town this week and have really enjoyed eating on the patio every night. I wish the temp would stay this way through the summer. It's been beautiful :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
