  2. That's great @ksoslo and @@nerms! So happy for you both!! I'm just logging in today after being off this site for a couple of months. I've been doing good but staying same for this past month. I'm down 23 lbs. I am getting better focused on what I'm eating and getting in walking to get back on track. I probably need another fill soon as well. Let's all keep in touch here. I need it!!
  3. That's great bugs! I go for my second fill Weds. I'm only 1.5 now so def can use more.
  4. I was banded July 22nd and am also down about 12 lbs since day of surgery. I've had one fill of 1.5ccs. I'm calling next week to get in for second fill I can use it now. I'm exercising more and getting more hungry. I have to stick with the basics. It's easy to get off track. Nice to have these forums as a reminder of what I need to be doing.

  6. Wishing you all the very best of luck and blessings! I'm 51 myself and just banded last month. Good for you for taking the step to improve your life. So many people out there suffering. I'm so glad I took this step. I'm down about 15 lbs and already feel such a difference. I too always went to WW without lasting success.
  7. You'll know sliming when it happens! Very scary. If I eat thick bread or too fast it happens. I guess it's the bands way of teaching you

  11. This morning I had first adjustment. 1.5ccs added to what was my empty band. Dr did under ultrasound and I was able to watch. Very cool. I had to drink something kind of nasty and watch it go down and through the band. I'll go back in six weeks just to his office to check adjustments from there. Loving this band so far. Hope to have some more weight off before my next visit. I can start doing some weight lifting exercises now so that should help too!

  16. Two weeks out and down 7 lbs from day of surgery at my post op visit today! I feel really good and getting in about two miles a day walking and bike riding. I don't have the food obsessions or ravenous hunger. I'm sure I'll have challenging days in my future, but I'm so happy I took a leap of faith and moved forward with this. I'll have my first fill in two weeks at the hospital under ultrasound. I met a woman on the way out of the office who has lost 150 lbs over the past two years on the band and she's getting married this weekend. She says having this surgery changed her life. We both walked out of the office smiling and floating on cloud 9
  17. Thanks for sharing Melissa! Happy your here and doing so well now. I'm just 12 days out from being banded. Hearing all the different experiences is really helpful.

  19. Congratulations! Very inspiring. So happy for you
  20. I'm 10 days post op and it's finally today that I feel much less bloated and swollen. Getting in the walking is making the difference.
  21. No I didn't racer---x (love the handle by the way). They are kind of mushy to begin with, and good source of protein. I think I'm going to buy a good scale and food processor to help in whipping stuff up.
  22. I've been having soft scrambled eggs- one egg and one serving egg beaters with cheese mixed in. I've had some mashed potatoes, tuna fish and some crab cake. I'm vegetarian so I've mixed some refried beans, hummus and salsa for lunch. I'm staying full and my strength is starting to grow. I'm looking for some more options to start adding. I'm getting about 850 calories a day. I hope I'm doing the right thing. My Dr has monthly meetings at his office with a nutritionist. I'm def going to take advantage of those!
  23. Scrambles eggs, mashed potatoes and yogurt are getting old. Looking for some good vegetarian choices.
  24. Got it right @racerx. I was banded a week before you. Looking forward to the journey. Right now I have to remind myself to eat or I go too long between meals.
