Insurance paying for protein drinks....

Just an FYI ... I'm 5 days post op with the sleeve. Everything is going well. I just wanted to share what my friend shared with me about getting your drinks paid for through your insurance.

Didn't know if it would go through or not but it did!! I signed up online at Insure Nutrition, gave them my insurance information (make sure it's your prescription plan info) and they did all the work for me. They verified my insurance, contacted my Doctor for the prescription and a week later I received my first shipment!!

You all may already know about this but I didn't and I honestly couldn't have been more surprised that it was approved and had no copay!! My drinks were actually delivered a week before my surgery do they were ready for me!

They also do liquid supplements but my doctor has me on chewable Flintstones lol so I'm doing those instead.

Oh and I'm doing premier chocolate.

Yup, they'll call you, they're pretty quick too.

Thanks for the info, I will try to call Monday.

I have Medco, and I just submitted. I'll let you guys know if it works. (Since I haven't see anyone mention Medco for prescription coverage)

I have Medco for my prescription coverage (blue cross for health) and they covered it for me! I got shakes vitamins and scar cream

They will call you and let you know as soon as your insurance informs them.

I missed a call from them last night saying they were faxing my surgeon the scripts...does this mean they are covered??? They did say we have a couple questions also so give us a call back. I'm preparing to drive to NH for a funeral so I didn't call yet! I hope that first step contacting my doc was a positive sign!

Sorry no it doesn't mean you are covered. They have to get the signed script to send to your insurance company for approval.

Awesome. Looking forward to hearing from them then.

Fingers crossed. They called today to say they were faxing my surgeon. She said as soon as they find out something they will call me back.

She asked if I was interested in the scar cream. So she has me down for premier shakes, Vitamins and scar cream. I hope it helps with my stretch marks too. Lol

Nice

Dr. signed and faxed back just waiting for a call / email back. Will keep everyone posted.

I got a call yesterday that they are starting the process...but from what was mentioned here, it doesn't bode well for me that I have BC/BS :(

I haven't received any contact from them regarding my request. :( Looks like everyone else is getting pretty timely contact from them though.

took about 3 days ... if you haven't heard anything after a week, I'd resubmit....they seem quick
