Insurance paying for protein drinks....

Just an FYI ... I'm 5 days post op with the sleeve. Everything is going well. I just wanted to share what my friend shared with me about getting your drinks paid for through your insurance.

Didn't know if it would go through or not but it did!! I signed up online at Insure Nutrition, gave them my insurance information (make sure it's your prescription plan info) and they did all the work for me. They verified my insurance, contacted my Doctor for the prescription and a week later I received my first shipment!!

You all may already know about this but I didn't and I honestly couldn't have been more surprised that it was approved and had no copay!! My drinks were actually delivered a week before my surgery do they were ready for me!

They also do liquid supplements but my doctor has me on chewable Flintstones lol so I'm doing those instead.

Oh and I'm doing premier chocolate.

I too applied, but gave my medical insurance info., not my prescription plan info( Aetna/ CVS Caremark) when they called I mentioned I gave them my medical ins info- not prescription info- and she didn't really say anything, that it was wrong, or anything. They did call last week but I have not heard back.

I applied on Monday and hope that I am approved. I have CVS Caremark. I drink the premier protein every day anyway, so if it is covered by insurance that would be great. I received the initial email saying that they received my information. Hope to hear something in the next week or so.

My surgeon finally faxed them the info, so now I'm waiting to see what happens...I also have a secondary insurance plan for prescriptions, so I'm trying both....maybe there's hope for me yet!!

getting ready to fill out the form and send it in, but is premier Protein good? never tried it before, so I am kinda worried I will not like it. any suggestions? and does anyone else receive the multi vitamins ?

I had the same fear, but they are pretty good. Even the vanilla. It's thinner than the powder I was using. But all in all for the price ( free ). I like them. Did not get the vitamins because they said they were liquid. But I had read on here somebody got the chewables from them.

Cigna pays! Got approved Monday. I'm getting shakes, stretch mark cream, and bariatric vitamins every month. Don't have to pay a dime. Doesnt hurt to try, at all!

I was denied, my insurance is prescription corp of America.

Has Anyone who has had their shipment delivered come across any issues with insurance after the fact?? I was approved last week & someone told me today that in a support group she belongs to people are saying that insurance companies are being charged huge amounts of $ and I'm just worried that we are going to be charged through them.

If you are approved, the insurance company cannot charge you anymore than your usual deductable for medication... but you should not recieve a bill after the fact...if you do...CALL THEM... because that is not right...

but if they told you there is no charge, there should be no charge...

The price is always higher when they send it to insurance companies as there is a tax write off involved with the balance that's left...don't worry about it... just enjoy the benefits. ( I know about the write offs as I work for an insurance company ;) ... )
