Insurance paying for protein drinks....

Just an FYI ... I'm 5 days post op with the sleeve. Everything is going well. I just wanted to share what my friend shared with me about getting your drinks paid for through your insurance.

Didn't know if it would go through or not but it did!! I signed up online at Insure Nutrition, gave them my insurance information (make sure it's your prescription plan info) and they did all the work for me. They verified my insurance, contacted my Doctor for the prescription and a week later I received my first shipment!!

You all may already know about this but I didn't and I honestly couldn't have been more surprised that it was approved and had no copay!! My drinks were actually delivered a week before my surgery do they were ready for me!

They also do liquid supplements but my doctor has me on chewable Flintstones lol so I'm doing those instead.

Oh and I'm doing premier chocolate.

Welcome!!

submitted mine... we shall see ...thank you for the info!

Good luck everyone.

I will try too but I'm Tri-care prime, so I doubt I'll be lucky.

Xx

I applied too. They also offered me scar cream!

Great info! Can everyone please post updates if they're approved and shipped? I'm preop but as soon as my surgery is scheduled I'm going to try.

I'm curious if that's standard rx coverage

Thanks

I didn't get the scar cream but my friend did and loves it! I'm going to get my Doctor to write me a script for it!

it didn't give me that option either...what scar cream do you recommend?

A representative just called me. She faxed over the scripts to be signed by my surgeon this morning. I'll follow-up with them at my appointment tomorrow. Once he signs them and sends them back we'll see if my insurance company will cover it. She's getting me the scar cream too. We'll see what happens.

This is a specific scar cream they compound. Not sure of any brand to recommend. They offered me the cream but I (like a big dummy) said no. Now I could kick myself!

Just call and ask them for it:)
