  1. I applied too. They also offered me scar cream!
  2. Yes that's what I have gathered. I did finally pass gas today. Just once but even a little relief was welcome. Also....heating pad is my best friend right now. Really helps to makes me comfortable. I'm having trouble forcing myself to take in enough liquids. Even taking just one sip makes me feel like I am stuffed.
  3. http://www.advancedbariatricsurgery.com/forum/?f=10Thank you so much LadyDiva for the site. Perfect!!
  4. Anyway you could possibly scan and share this chart?
  5. This gas pain is no joke, and my nurse said I can't take GasEx. But I made it! I'll add more when I can keep my eyes open.
  6. Had my pre admit testing today. Lost 8 lbs from last week!
  7. Many people can not get their Insurance to cover the procedure (if they have insurance at all); surgery is much cheaper in foreign countries such as Mexico.
  8. Pre-Surgery jitters are totally normal. Even though this is the best thing for our lives, it's still MAJOR surgery. I'd worry if I weren't a little nervous. But I'm excited too. Can't wait. P.S. I'm going to try the Shakeology, never heard of them.
  9. Actual surgery date is 1/30. One week later than I was expecting but that's ok. Very excited at this point!
  10. I too have looked into this and have come to nothing but dead ends saying it is an urban legend: http://www.traumaburn.org/who/skinbank/faq.shtml http://plasticsurgery101.blogspot.com/2007/09/urban-legend-debunked-can-you-donate.html?m=1 http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/3744449/FREE-excess-skin-removal/ Please, ask your girlfriend what hospital/program she is working with as Id love to get more information about this! Thank you.
  11. I got pushed back to 1/30/14. Im still a January sleever, that's all that matters!
  12. Wifey material indeed. Gorgeous! Congratulations on your long term success.
  13. Just found out today from insurance my date is 1/23/14! Haven't heard from the doctors office yet but expecting to Monday or Tuesday.
  14. Well, I called my insurance today (IBX Personal Choice) and it's official...I'm having the VSG performed on 1/23. I think, lol. She said that she sees the approval for an inpatient procedure on 1/23 and 1/24. I'm so excited, but nervous at the same time. I've never been in the hospital at all...not even to the ER. I consider that a blessing, and the fact that even this time I'm voluntarily doing this...it's still a little unnerving.
  15. I had my final appointment in the approval process on Friday (psych eval). I had been very anxious about it and had "studied" as much as possible to try and give the answers that I thought would get me approved but when I got in the room I just threw all that out the window and was totally honest. Sometimes I thought maybe too honest, but I figured this is a psychiatrist - she will know when I'm BSing. Once it was over I was told that it could take 1-2 weeks to get the report. Anyway the girls at the office really like me and my mom (we're a riot...so we're told). When I expressed that waiting was really getting to me, they got the therapist (who is outsourced) to give her report right away! My labs were missing so I went and had them re-drawn and They submitted to insurance before I even left the office!!! I am so excited, but nervous at the same time. I am going to start the pre op diet on Monday; I don't have a sleeve date yet but I want to be able to take the first available date so I'm being proactive. I will keep you guys updated, the boards have been such a huge resource during the time leading up to this moment. I just want to thank all of you for your contributions. Happy New Year!
  16. Wowwwww!! Hot mama! You look stunning!! Look at those curves. Love that top btw.
  17. Finally going to see my favorite actress, Patina Miller, in her Tony award winning performance in the Broadway musical "Pippin," and not being able to fit in the seats. The house manager was kind enough to let me stand and watch from the back of the house, but still...that's when I said enough was enough.
  18. I am going to Elkins as well!! Which doc did you have and how did your surgery go?
  19. Any Philly area Sleevers? I am very excited, don't have my surgery date yet but just did my last pre-op test Friday so hopefully I will have it soon. I will be seeing Dr. Dalall at Einstein Elkins Park, he had great reviews.
