Down 3 pounds this week, surprisingly. I've increased calories and carbs, per my nut, in an effort to slow down my weight loss as I reach my goal but it keeps coming off. I love this damn sleeve ...

I am seven months post surgery and my weight loss had slowed down to only about 1/4 to 1/2 pound per week. I know that I am not exercising at all, which is a major factor, but I decided to try increasing my Protein to see if it would make any difference. It did! I have lost 2 pounds in the last two weeks even though I am eating more calories. I think I will have to make time to exercise in order to reach my end goal, but for now this is working.

So my sleeve (George when he's grumpy Veronica when she complies) is quite deceptive. I was ranging 165-170 for almost 2 months and was very happy at that weight. Now I weigh 160.4 and a little fearful of entering the 150s cause everyone tells me I'm too skinny already and that I should have stopped losing 30 pounds ago lol

Its been so hard getting to that 70# Mark, back n forth...geez! But in all honesty, I need to start bck exercising n increase Water, starting bck working and I forget to drink and don't eat till I get home, not good Ik, Bleh. Gr8j all, keep on losing:)

Oh it's been 6months and doc gave me a weight of 140, but stated that he's looking more at my health than weight but I made him give me a weight so I could have a goal from someone else to shoot for, its a mind trick that I use to stay accountable, tho, I was shooting for 135 so we will c how I feel.

When someone goes MIA from this group, you know it cannot be a good sign, right? Here I am. Same weight since May 27th.

The bad news:

1) This is not a stall;

2) This is completely my fault;

3) I was careless and in denial thinking that I had it all under control;

4) I missed a whole month of precious post-op friendly hormones time.

The good news:

1) I learned a great deal about my eating habits these past few weeks (i.e: I have the meals under control, but snacking - grazing - is my biggest problem);

2) I take full responsibility for my actions;

3) Seeing everyone's results on this board, week after week, has helped me stay honest and finally snap out of this phase (as I comparatively believe that I should be 20lbs lighter had I stayed the course);

4) I was able to maintain the weight;

5) One of the reasons I didn't follow plan was that I was travelling for a couple of weeks on vacation. So yes, I had a lot of fun;

6) I realized how keeping a diary is essential for me.

I want to congratulate all of you for staying strong and inspiring me to come back. I look forward to being more active on the board and feel free to scold me if I go MIA again (I get all updates via email).

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

      Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
      I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
      I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
      My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
