But what kind of marriage would that be? It wouldn't last long and you'd be in big trouble for consuming your spouse!

lololol . . . but it would be sweet while it lasted. mmmm hmmm.

Well since everyone is fussing up to what they ate I thought I would add my 2 cents in... I bought one of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream pints in Peach Cobbler, last night my mother-in-law tried to eat some and I just about took her head off. Funny thing is I don't even like ice cream.

I am offically down to 163. I went short shopping today and am down another size. I was so happy that I was dancing around the dressing room and all these ladies were looking at me like I had lost my mind. I was just so happy. Than my mother-in-law said that she is only 1 size smaller than me and that made my year.

Hope everyone is having a fab day. I am going on a walk again tonight. Went on one last night for about 1 hour with my 2 girls, we would walk, jog, walk, jog...it was great and I was exhausted when I got home but I did feel good.:rolleyes:

Thanks bahot~Congrats on your smaller size AND you ARE A HOT MOMMA!!! Isin't that weird about the ice cream, I have never been a "sweets" kind of person, but that ice cream that my neighbor brought over keeps calling my name.

I am out the door for the clothing swap, making my hubby come with to help carry stuff, I think I am the only one going...I guess I'll swap clothes with myself, I hope I get some good stuff...LOL

Mal, Wish I could go but I have the "Out-laws" in town. They don't know that I have the band so I would have some explainin' to do if I walked outta the house with a bunch of clothes. Have fun and maybe "MAL" will bring some stuff you really like.

Denise,

Is that the Ben & Jerry's flavor that is called, "Willie Nelson's Peach Cobbler?"

That is the yummiest ice cream ever!!!

I'd have to bite my MIL's head off too, if she wanted some!

Would that be considered canibalisim???

Well, not really, since your husband would be the Cookie Dough and not a real human person -- just think how great that would be! He'd never complain if you bought yourself a new dress!

Hi Denise. I've not been banded yet but I'm starting off this adventure just a little bigger than you were when you started. This is sooo inspirational! You've done great! I was worried that, being a bit lower BMI it would be a very slow process. Keep up the good work!

I was going to post earlier this week...but have been so busy...I couldn't get around to finding the time.

I flew in to see Dr. K last Friday for the day ("boy are my arms tired." - sorry had to throw that in.) I had such a nice visit with him, Natalie, and Paula. It was nice to talk through my meal plan with Paula....I'm on the right track....just have to bump up the Protein intake a bit. Dr. K is the bomb!!! I didn't need much of a fill really....but I can tell a little bit of a difference. I'm not all that sure I really knew what I was suppose to be feeling during the whole "fill experience" since it was my first time. But all in all I'm happy....and if the scale is moving...something must be working right!!!

I did 200 crunches today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are cracking me up tonight!

Way to go AMI on those crunches!

Denise -- Viewing the rep thingy is a complete mystery to me. I can give rep, but I have no idea how to read it! So wierd.

Mal -- You are SO not a failure. "Mal" and "failure" will not fit in the same sentence. No way. No how. Anyway, my kiddos INSIST on on having Hersey bars and they sit in the pantry and call my name, so I keep a stash of the South Beach high Protein Cereal bars handy -- 140 calories, 15 carbs and 10 grams protein -- love 'em just as much a Hesey bar. (Ok, I'm kinda lying, but it gets me through the craving.) The other "treat" that I have is Stoneyfield organic yogurt (22! grams of protein with 0! fat) mixed with a little lemon sugar-free pudding powder. This tastes very rich and so good.

Everybody have a great Memorial Day weekend. We are going out of town to a fossil festival (*cough*..nerd..*ahem*) so I should be walking, walking, walking to onederland by the time I'm back. Happy Memorial Day, banditos!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
