I did it! I enrolled in my first Belly Dancing class!!! It starts July 8th!! It is one night a week for 4 weeks. Only $20 for the class. I can't wait!!!

Thanks Crishell for the update. I've been looking in my area for a class and was suprised to find more than one of them. I'm so excited. I've decided to join one either this summer or fall. I told my sister today she needed to go with me. I think she might be interested too!!! I'm going to try to talk my best friend into it too. I think it would be fun for all of us to go together. :smile2: So what DVD's did you get? What do you wear to class to practice in? Is it hard to get the hips movin' the way you want? I'm sooo not graceful at times....I'd probably twist my ankle and fall over. :tongue2: Glad to hear you're having a fun workout. Thanks for the motivation!!!

I've been looking around me for the same type of classes. I've been interested for a long time. I think it would a fun way to workout....Lord knows you have to make it fun for me to do it. I live in the Oklahoma City area. I've found a few classes in my area but just like you I'm nervous about going. I have this fear I'll be the biggest one in the class!!! :w00t: I've told myself when I get to a certain weight...I would reward myself with taking a class. I'd be curious to see what you learn and how your class goes. Keep us up to date. Amie

Well besides the shopping for new clothes rewards, I have 3 more that I want to do. 1. Take a bellydancing class!!! 2. Having a retro pin-up style photo done for my husband. He's a hotrod car guy...he'll love this one!! 3. Go on a cruise....somewhere tropical.....so I can wear a bathing suit and be on a beach drinking something fruity with a little umbrella in it....and maybe some rum!!! I'm crazy like that!

I hear you on the cream soups. I'm tired of them! I have been able to tolarate the Campbell's chicken and stars. The chicken (what chicken you can find in one can) is really soft and the stars are tiny and easy to chew, chew, chew. Tonight I mixed together some rocatta cheese and left over tomato sauce (more sauce than cheese). Heated it in the microwave for a few seconds....yummy!

How is everyone feeling? Hope everyone is resting and healing. I'm very sore and I feel like the doctor sewed my chest to my bellybutton. And don't get me started on the gas! I'm walking as much as possible and sip, sip, sipping my Water. Hope to feel better in a couple more days. Hope all is well.

I'm on the 26th too!! I am sooooo excited!!! I've been on NO Pasta, bread, rice, or potatos since the 14th. Of course those are all the things I love....but the diet hasen't been all that bad. I'm just ready for TUESDAY!!!! Good luck to all of you and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

My surgery is scheduled for Feb. 26th. I have to start my pre-op diet on the 12th. For mine...I can have NO bread, Pasta, or rice. Basically no carbs. I've been doing LOW carb for the last month....getting my body use to not having the high carbs it's use to. So far it's worked in my favor....17.5 pounds down!!!! WoooHOOOO!!! Just think what will happen when I go to NO carbs....YEAHHH!!! I look at it as a small jump start on my new journey. Good luck to everyone on their journeys!! WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

I'm finally an official February '08 Bandster!! Wooohooo!!! I'm not going to make you read my long story about how and why I'm fat. I've been struggling with it all my lift and when I found out about the lapband, I knew it was going to be the right choice for me. I am also self pay and wanted to find somewhere cheaper here in the US. So I will be going to Colorado too. From everything that I have heard and read about Dr. K, I know this is the right decision! My date is February 26. I just can't wait!! Amie
