  1. My resting heart rate is 44! Before I got my band it was 100.
  2. I just wanted to drop in and wish you all the best. I ran my first 5k on Sunday and it was amazing. I cried and cried after I crossed the finish line and I couldn't stop running, I just kept going! YOU CAN DO THIS! I LOVE PODRUNNER! I am planning my next 5k for Thanksgiving...a Turkey Trot 5k!
  3. Podrunner ROCKS!!! Good luck to all of you!
  4. 5k's for practice, I love it! WTG! I am writing down the "Dont's", that should be on a t-shirt. Actually your entire post should be a t-shirt or poster! Thanks for the boost, I am pretty nervous about this weekend but excited too, I have been doing the Couch to 5k for four months. Thanks again and congratulations on your amazing progress!
  5. Congratualtions and Welcome to your new life!
  6. Congratulations on your return to the gym! WTG
  7. WOW! Thanks for sharing. Congratulations what a great accomplishment. I will be running my very first 5k this weekend.
  8. Congratulations! and Welcome!
  9. Thanks. I actually did the graduation run lastnight, didn't do so great, but I will try again Wednesday and Friday and then do my best on Sunday to complete my first 5K! Good luck to all of you with your training! Happy Running!
  10. I am on week 9 of this program and let me tell you, it is WONDERFUL! I am running my first 5k on Oct 5th! Good luck to all of you.
  11. I am at 10.3 and gong back for another fill 10-2-08. It has been a long slow journey for me so far.
  12. I haven't posted in a long while. I am having the hardest time with week 6 day two, it is kicking my butt! Any helpful tips? I see that some of you eat a healthy carb before your workouts, maybe I'll try that. I usually only drink two bottles of water before I head to the gym. and I normally workout in later in the day around 6:00pm. My 5k is in 4 weeks...YIKES! any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  13. whosya~Congrats on your one year! You have accomplished so much and you have been a great support for many others! Thanks for sharing and being around! What will you treat yourself to for a year of hard work?
  14. I read that high altitude does not affect the band. I have a fill on friday and immediatly heading to the mountians, so I hope and pray that my band will not be too tight. I'll let you know...
  15. Thanks Whosya! A friend of mine started running about the same time I did, she is doing it on her own (no podrunner, no C25k), and she hurt her knee, she is probably 100 pounds lighter than me and 15 years younger, so I was a bit worried about my knees. I will take the days off inbetween, even though it is hard to do, i WANT to run, I am enjoying the C25K sooo much! Thanks again Whosya!
