The BFL Gods are against me! (But they won't win ~ BWAHAHAHA) - I broke the pedal connection thingy on my exercise bike. So I did stair climbing for my cardio this morning. Panting and sweating. The interval part of this stuff is killer! I-can-do-anything-for-20 minutes-I-can-do-anything-for-20 minutes-I-can-do-anything-for-20 minutes. Tomorrow upper body (and my butt is still sore from the strength training that I did yesterday) - My crockpot of steel cut oats are overcooked with this funky thick lining along the crock. They stink. Threw them out. Ate regular oats this morning and low fat cottage cheese. - My photos that I took last night turned out to be all flash. Couldn't get it right. Maybe I can get some done this weekend? Meals: 1) Cottage Cheese and Oatmeal 2) Tuna and yogurt 3) Protein Shake ?

  3. Hi, Dr. K did my surgery 9/07 and required no pre-op testing for me. He had access to my 6/07 yearly physical exam records and did his own pre-op assessment. Based on those 2 assessments, he didn't require any additional testing. I think any testing that is done is requested on an indiviual basis as needed. Good luck on your journey!

Moved rocks from the front of the house to the bank along the road. One 5 gallon bucket at a time. Not finished yet. Whew.

Took the boys fishing and it was COLD, COLD, COLD. Not a single bite to be had, but I stayed warm by walking around the park.

Walked for what seemed like hours at the mall. I hate the mall. I haven't been there in over a year, but I had to check out the Steve & Barry's. My hate of the mall does not win out over my never-ending pursuit of a good deal. Got rooked into a purchase of the Dead Seas Nail kit at one of the kiosk thingys in the middle. They always see me and know that I'm a sucker. What a conflicted shopper I am....

  12. Hey Kelly, Thanks! 5 more pounds and I'll be half way to goal. I've maintained recently, but need to get my focus back on health. Seems that so many other things have taken priority and I've been lost in the whirlwind. But, I'm trying to turn that around. How are you doing these days??
  13. Taynuh -- Thanks again for the pix of your sweeties! Want2B -- I'm Karen (like billions of other women my age! I am my parents 6th girl, so by the time they got to me they had run out of creativity). Shelbi and Callie (guess I have no creativity either. calico cat = callie) are our cats; Barkley is our dog. I'm doing well! I am developing some bad bandgirl habits that I'm trying to get a handle on (Still eating too fast and getting the slimy golf ball -- then make myself PB (puke/barf). I have got to slow down and try harder. I find myself going for the soft foods so that I can still eat faster, bigger, more bites. I've got to make better choices about this!!) Good Saturday, everyone!
  14. :clap2: Munchkin -- You did it!!!!! Congratulations!! :clap2:Tina -- So glad to hear you're back with Tanner! Welcome home, little man! How bout a picture when you get a chance (I realize with 2 kiddos under age 3 now, your chances are few and far between!) All of those teeth at 9 months -- sounds like he's ahead of the game. Doesn't early teether ususally mean early walker? Watch out! Sleeps all night -- good little fella. I LOVE to watch a baby sleep -- so snuggly and peaceful and sweet. Enjoy!
  15. Hi Marilyn I ended up not having fluro with either fill. Dr. Ahigian uses the fluro Carolinas Medical Center-Lincoln in Lincolnton NC as needed, but he didn't feel that it was necessary with my fills. My fills have been a breeze -- painless. I had my fills done in his office in Denver, NC. You could call his office and find out what he would prefer for you (704) 483-2200 or call Fill Centers USA. Good luck with your journey!
