AngelEyesInNJ you look awesome! Are you exercising a lot? What is your routine and what are your favorite foods? I am 19 days out and seem to be stalling at the moment.

We are very close in stats. How much are you losing weekly? What types of food are you eating? My goal is the same and SW 182

Hey! Umm, honestly I eat whatever I want and I drink alcohol too. Which is bad I know but I really have no consequences, I'm still losing a pound a week and that's what I expected to lose being that I was a low bmi. People tell me I don't need to lose much more but I know I am cause I want to be smaller. Everyone notices that I've lost a good amount of weight and it's very rewarding. I always make sure I eat Protein first whether it be meat or cheese but I do eat chips and bad stuff I shouldn't. I think I became lactose intolerant because I tried to eat ice cream and I had bad pain and diarrhea. It was awful. But I probably don't get all my Water in either and that's the worst part. I need to improve on that a lot.

Thank you!! In the beginning you will hit stalls here and there...but honestly I wish I would have worked out within the first six months when the weight was falling off more or less by it self. I didn't start hitting the gym until 6.5 months out and I have been working on it since. It takes dedication but I love it, I feel so much better after a work out..and all I do is normally an hour to an hour and a half of cardio on the elliptical ( any where from- days a week) and then 3 times a week I do strength training for my upper body and core a half an hour of this. I know I am going to need plastics done though but trying to tighten whatever I can.

I will also say as much as many love to watch the scale I would say just pick one day a week to weigh in.

As far as foods.. I have been a bad girl.. I need to start drinking my Protein again because I am not hitting my Protein goals and I know if I do up it, my weight will probably start coming back off at a more steady pace. I do tend to eat a lot of chicken and eggs ( I do not eat fish or other meats ) but I have days where I eat high carbs which I know people say we shouldn't but I am still human and I am not going back into my old habits (which could be easy with some slider foods out there).

I wish you the best of luck and I can not wait to see your amazing transformation!!! :)

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
