Where is everyone? It's been 2 days since anyone has posted anything!!! Surely I'm not the only one who stayed home on a holiday weekend?!?! I hit the 60 pound mark today (and yes the "happy dance" was performed!!) and man was I ever excited!! Went to the grocery store and wanted tell everyone (but didn't) that I hit 60! Hope everyone else is doing well and having a safe holiday weekend.

Gigi-your workout schedule is awesome! Keep up the good work. Great job on the weightloss.

5jacks--60 #'s is terrific. You can share your weightloss with us here!

Nope, no long weekend fun for me. The DH and I have been scraping and painting the facia and sofits (or is it sophits) on the house. Fortunately, or unfortunately...it started to rain, so we are delayed at finishing!! Lots of up and down ladders and arm exercise! I hope it amounts to something tomorrow at weigh-in time.

I'm home for the long weekend too. I have about 47 pounds off and am exercising like crazy to be at 50 by next weekend. I am going to see my mom and dad and really want them to be able to notice. Besides, 50 just seems like a big number! 60 will be my half way point but if I lose 100 I will be the happiest person alive!

I went through clothes this weekend. It was so nice to get rid of the clothes that I wore "just because they fit." Not because I liked them or because they looked good, only because they fit. Bye-bye forever!

I see that I need to get my mind into this project. I'm down 36, but it goes up and down 4 pounds from there. I started back exercising but think I need to kick it up a notch. I'm walking 3 miles a day.

What are you guys doing for exercise? How long, how often? I will do this, just need a little more motivation! I find myself so pleased with the weight loss so far, that I sort of get settled with that..but I have about 60 more to lose!

whew, I just read a post by AZPete...he has lost 80 pounds in 2 1/2 months. He eats proper and is running two miles a day. I just find it astounding. I know men tend to loose quicker, but his weight loss is really something.

That is an amazing amount to lose.

I am having a hard time working out because my band is so tight that its hard to get more than 500 calories in a day. I have been taking naps during the day and thats not like me. I got a good treadmill workout in this am but its the 1st of the long weekend. I am just not hungry. There is alot of discussion about starvation mode and I hope it really doesn't exist. or that short term it wont be a problem. I think this is my sweet spot because I truly have no appetite. 3-4 bites and I am full. So while I am thrilled with that I would like to be able to workout.

Sounds like everyone else is doing great also!!

At first I was doing Water aerobics....we're farmers and as soon as the weather cooperated I was too busy to get to the center. Was trying to walk some but that also got pushed aside. Know that weight loss would be better with excercise but can't imagine squeezing another thing in my day. Our days for the last month have pretty much started on the tractor at 6:30 a.m. and we just got in and it's 10:07p.m.! It's raining here now and we're going to try and take the kids to the lake for the day tomorrow....hope everyone had a good weekend and a safe one!

Same here 5jacks....irrigation on our little acreage and all the chores you can't get done in the winter. But I'm trying. I made a committment to get up at 6 to work out. I'm an early to bed kinda gal so I get my sleep.

Don't you think that this is what part of our problems are...everything else comes first...and with others, they make exercise the first priority MOST of the time and I make it the priority when nothing else gets in the way. And I do enjoy my walks or the elipitical. I recorded Dancing with the stars while it was on and it makes the elipital time go fast.

Hello all, just checking in. I went for my fill #3 on Friday, but it didnt happen. There was some mix up with my insurance company and they failed to get the pre authorization, so I'm waiting on that and will head back to get my fill.

I have not lost in the last couple of weeks so feeling really discouraged. However, I can tell I've lost inches. So trying to stay positive.

I'm stuck at 184! I bounce from 182 to 186, but usually end up at 184 pretty consistantly.

Hopefully fill #3 will get me going and I can finally drop below 180 lbs.

I am on my 6th week now of BFL challenge, and I have not missed a workout. So I'm really proud of myself. AFter this week, I will be 1/2 way finished. The changes I'm seeing in my body are truly amazing. I'm getting my curves back! Its so nice to pick up a pair of pants off the clothes rack and they fit! Not squeezing or tucking needed! And, no womens sizes either.

Anyhow, I have a busy week, so I won't be checking in much, then on Friday DH & I are headed to Nashville for a long weeked. I hope everyone enjoys their week!

Hi Audree - we've missed ya! So glad you popped in to tell us how your doing. The pb incident does not sound like fun!

I lost very quick in the beginning, but now it has really slowed down, I haven't lost anything this week, and I usually weigh in on Mondays, so we'll see how Monday goes. I really want to lose another 15 lbs before my cruise in August, but not sure if that can happen.

Hi Sunshine!!!

I am at a standstill too and even gained a few back!

I am going to supplement what I did with the band and do Herbalife.

I started yesterday. I have two health shakes and one very nice dinner. Vitamins, supplements, etc.

Hopefully it kicks me back into weight loss mode.

I will keep you all posted!!!

Baby

Hi all

i haven't been here inawhile. Just checking in. I haven't lost anymore weight. I was a little frustrated but I am not anymore. I have a personal trainer so I am doing cardio and strength training. She said that I am losing inches. I have had a few people tell me that I look like I am losing weight. So I am still working hard. It's been five months and I thought I would have seen a considerable difference and I haven't. I still have restriction though. I PB'd on a salad this weekend. Just the spinach. So I am going to stay with it.

Hi everybody!

I haven't checked in for a while so I thought I would. Banded in Chicago 1/10/2007 with a VG band by Dr. Hungness at Northwestern. Down about 25 lbs so far, not much restriction, got my 3rd fill today, up to 6 cc. I've been patient, but it's time for the magic to kick in a little bit.

I have read some other threads on this site and have heard people talk about plateaus, as well as having experienced them myself over my dieting life. I feel stuck right now, and am going in for a fill today. I am just going to keep with the program, make some adjustments in my eating/drinking as well as stepping up the workouts. I certainly have room for improvement in the workout area..as well as consuming my water! I also am a late night eater...dinner after 7 as I work till 7 a couple of nights a week. I think that may need to change. So, after some food shopping this weekend, I'll be ready to tackle that issue.

Oprah says, via her exercise guru...calories in needs to be less that energy out. It has got to work...simple physics.

You guys all stick with it and I think it will come for all of us!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
