My husband and I went to Memphis today to shop. We slways have eaten at Texas Roadhouse when we go. I thought Id order off the kids menu until I saw it. It was hamburgers and hotdogs for the same price as a regular plate so I opted for the appitizer and asked they bring it with everyones elses meal. Price was about the same as a meal but less food and no worrying about take home. Thoroughly enjoyed 4 pieces of lemon pepper shrimp. :)

Both my sons work at Texas Roadhouse. They are so yummy! Their salmon is good too!!

Well take that back golden corral gave me 50 cent off woohoo not worth the hassle that I had to explain I have maintain my goal weight ordering so far and taking home lol easier.

I have one of those card thinking I could really use itit has been 2 years since I was sleeved and I have never hardly Auden restraunt around heretake it. Well take that back golden corral gave me 50 cent off woohoo not worth the hassle that I had to explain I have maintain my goal weight ordering so far and taking home lol easier.

How much did you lose in your 2 years?

Both my sons work at Texas Roadhouse. They are so yummy! Their salmon is good too!!

You are the second person in two days to rave about their salmon. I have to try it! :)

Well I started. At 238. And I have maintain 118 I do kettle bells to tighten skin in which I have toned 20 inches in 7 month

I don't eat out much anyway but I went on vacation to Disney World last week so I called their dining to see if it would be a problem to order from the kids menu. They said most likely not but that I should bring a note from my doctor just in case. I ended up never having to show it, I never had a problem. Their kids menu is great! Grilled chicken, carrots, celery, and fruit. And it was STILL too much food. Plus, at Disney prices, I'd much rather pay $9 than $29. The card is definitely a good idea for people going on vacation when you know you're going to be eating out anyway.

The menus at Disney for kids are an exception to the rule in regards to most kids menus. Have you ever really looked at the garbage.

My daughter wanted to go to Golden Corral after church for their salad bar. They have the best salad bar but I told her I would have to pay full price. So she said that's ok. I saved over $25! Instead I made my daughter some tilapia, shrimp and green Beans. She was so happy and so was I. I am going to start calculating the money I save and imagine the lessons I'm teaching my teen about better food choices at home vs. restaurants

Thanks for posting the link. There is never a harm in asking a business for a discount. Most businesses would welcome the opportunity to give a discount and earn someone's business. And the card asks, it doesn't demand.

I wondering if ordering small meals or from the kid's menu is actually an issue when eating out? I have never had an issue with that.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

      Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs. 
      I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm. 
      I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order. 
      My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
