Found out today I'll be giving myself daily injections (3) of Leptin for 2 weeks. Luckily this doesn't phase me, just wondering of anyone else's surgeon is having them do this? Apparently mine does for all his patients, it prevents blood clots.

Personal opinions aside, Looking Ahead was simply sharing a link and making it available to those of us who want to utilize it. If you don't want to use it then there should be no issue.

Using the card isn't asking for a discount. It's asking to order a smaller portion at an already set price that happens to be reduced. I already order from the kids menu in most places and have never had an issue or been told no. This leads me to believe its not that much of an issue to most establishments. Everyone has their own financial situation and a lot of people here are self pay. So if they want to save a few bucks by ordering only what they can eat I say let them. If it doesn't affect me who am I to complain?

I wish my date wasnt so far away, ive been told that a 'booked surgeon is a good surgeon' so at least i can take comfort in that! In the meantime I took a page from Slenderella's book and have started my own "Pre-Op Wean-Off" July 3 - No diet soda/carbonated beverages July 10 - No sugar July 17 - No fried foods July 24 - No white/refined grains/bread/carbs July 31 - No caffiene (eeeeek!) Aug 7 - Pre-op liquid diet begins Hard to believe pre-op is only a month away!!

I'm expecting it and even though Im set to be sleeved in August, I've already set up a plastic surgery/tuck it fund. I pretty much figure that's where my money will be going for a while lol

Im having the "last supper" urge but am really focusing on not giving in as much or as often. I have 2 months until surgery & don't want to create another bad habit that will be hard to kick or one that will make it easier to "slip up" after surgery. It's not always easy, I keep telling myself it'll be worth it in the end. Good luck!

I've noticed that insurance will either pay all or none for WLS. I wish they didn't make it so hard for people. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, my insurance covers everything minus my $500 deductible, which is why I'm having it now in case it changes later.

My pre-op is 2 weeks but am thinking of starting a week early as well, not all liquids tho..just maybe every other day so my body isn't in complete shock.
