Weight Loss Funky Pit Gain

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys! Long time no see! I was sleeved on Jan 30th this year and I am at 59 pounds lost which may not be a lot, but is plenty for me. So here's the issue: I stink! I wear deodorant and take 2 showers a day. I just got out of the shower after washing with a fresh washcloth and deodorant soap. After I dried off my pits smelled like a Whopper Jr. with extra onions. I think I may need clinical strength deodorant. Is this happening to anyone else?

At this point I am not embarrassed because this is part of the process. I just want to know that I am not alone.

I've heard that it can happen when you eat "too much" protein....too much with the sleeve is hard to define :)....I'm guessing it's just your body going through changes/balances....

Totally normal! I've had a few days of it and my PA says more days are coming. It's from the hormones we are releasing when we lose weight. I finally just told my husband that he had to promise to tell me when I stink; otherwise I'll do what I can. And, yes, bought some Clinical Strength Secret Sport deodorant. What fun!

Try Secret outlast gel. It's awesome. Also wash your armpits with antibacterial soap.

Ok I bought the Dove Clinical Strength this morning and it seems to be helping. I may try some lemons. Thanks for responding.

A crazy tip I heard that works for me! Instead of layering on deodorant over and over I actually use hand sanitizer in between, let it dry and then put the deodorant on again.

It kills the bacteria that causes the smell. It works well for me!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
