Hi all ! I'm being sleeved August 8th, 2012 by Dr Morris Washington in Myrtle Beach SC. Is there any other august sleevers on here?

I'm 27 (almost) ---about 100-130 to lose.

I start tomorrow for pre-op. Its definitely a challenge. Good luck with everything, it will get easier as time goes on.

OK....so I hit a bump in the road...I'm still in the hospital. I had a pin hole leak...n had to go back in surgery Wednesday.... the day I should've went home. I am feeling a lot better n should be home by Sunday. At least it was found before I went home....out of the thousands of surgeries he has performed.. I am his first leak.

So hope all todays sleevers is doing good and all our past sleevers in there postop... We only have one up for tommorrow then wow its a huge week next week again....

Yep, I'm up Thursday. I'm on a 2 meal replacement diet and have been for weeks. All liquids starts Wednesday and I am going to do the bowel cleansing with magnesium citrate on Tuesday after work. Not required by my surgeon, but the nurse said it can't hurt. Nervous and anxious!

They come in all night long to check on you and keep up on your meds. Hopefully you will get some rest too Walking the halls helps when you get the gas pains after you get ice chips (tomorrow).

Congrats to all those sleeved this week! I was sleeved in Dallas on Monday and am also just resurfacing. My surgery went very well and now that some of that gas pain is going away feel like I am finally on my way to my happy "new" self. I am still having a really hard time getting all my liquids down each day and learning my "signals". The hunger one is loud and clear the "full" one, not so much yet and my chest starts hurting. I figure this means I've gone too far. I am really looking forward to getting to the Phase 2 diet next week when I can start adding in some tolerable protein and feeling more satisfied.

We're on our way!!

5 day done Pre op 5 pounds gone 11days to go feeling very nervous know Ill be uncomfortable a few days looking like it will be. Bad case of flu and I'll get better taking a long time off work really looking forward to that thanks for posting peeps help me know I'm doing the right thing

whew, start the pre-op 2 days pure liquid tomorrow....gonna pack and clean so that my room is comfy when I get home. Ready for this to be next Friday night already!!

Sippin some iced tea and starting to feel a little stronger.

Sleeved yesterday morning around 7:30am. My experience so far hasnt been so bad. The doc told me after surgery that they found a hiatal hernia and a little disease on the liver which was from being obese and possibly any medicines. Im still terribly sore from gas and wishing i could have something to drink. I started walking right after i left the recovery room and have been walking off and on since. The incision sites are a little sore and only hurt when i sit up too long.

I think the bed is making the back pain worse. Im able to burp a little but none from the other end. Im really sensitive to smells and had to request another nurse asst b/c the one i had bathed in this awful cologne.

Anyway i would love to hear some positive experiences for the Aug 10th sleevers!
