Anyone Start At 240Ish Lbs?
I was sleeved on 8/10 @ 242lbs. I'm 5'3"(no pre-op). As of this morning I am 216. I'm in a slight stall that i hope to break. I have PCOS too and I try to stay away from carbs except the ones in my greek yogurt. Veggies still pose a challenge for me. The potatoes and grits are not the best idea for PCOS even without the sleeve. When i started with soft foods shrimp was my bestie and still is. Try eggs tuna chicken.... its also good that you are working out.

No pre-op Surgery 8/10/12 @ 242lbs. Today 8/21/12 @ 218.5 :-)- Missed Period
I have my 2wk post op appt on friday. As of earlier this morning it seems that its getting lighter like its going away. *fingers crossed*- Missed Period
The exact opposite has happened to me. I was sleeved on August10th and I have been bleeding since. Not a regular period with cramps and all but just bleeding. The weird thing is that my cycle came on about a week before surgery. I have pcos and havent seen a regular period in years. Maybe its just resetting itself....idk....anyone else???- How The Hell Do You Drink Isopure?
I like the Isopure Alpine Punch. It actually doesn't taste bad to me. Muscle Milk Lite on the other hand tastes like muddy puke. I plan to try out the Premier Protein to just to make things a little different.- August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?
212!!!! Thats great. I was shocked when I got on the scale. I'm going to enjoy it definitely and its good to know someone else shared the same experience. I swear I'm so anxious to be under 200 lbs! I can't wait to do some real exercise. Best of luck on your journey. I'm from NC too!!!- August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?
Hi everyone! I'm a little nervous about posting this but I must ask. I was sleeved on Aug. 10 and went in weighing 242 (im 5ft 3in). I also had a large hernia repair. No pre-op diet no high bp but prediabetic. When I weighed myself Saturday I was 221.5!!! I walked quite a bit and i get in fluids and protein with no real problem. Is this normal or will I just hit a stall faster?- Hunger
I know just how you feel. I was sleeved on 8/10 and I'm not having any problems getting in all of my liquids and I'M SOOO HUNGRY!! The dr. put me on omeprazole that I have been taking and I didn't think that I had a problem with reflux but I guess its a precaution. It's not "head hunger" its full on hunger. This is just my first week and I have another week to go before my post op appt. I hope this subsides when I start mushies otherwise I am worried about my progress.- 5 Confessions (Join In)
I confess: Im only a few days out and im able to get in all 64 oz of Fluid and still feel hungry. And that makes me afraid. I still havent told my bf I feel like all my friends/eating buddies are going to abandon me. Im afraid that i may not be able to make it to Onederland. I cant wait to lose the "girls" weighing my shoulders down. That as afraid and doubtfulas i am right now i still want my 300 something lb.sister to have the surgery so she can raise her kid.- 4 Days Post Op Tmi
Thanks everyone. I have muscle milk too. I just havent started on it yet. My bff brought me some coconut soup (like broth) for dinner that im going to try tomorow. NO MORE ENSURE!!!! The isopure tastes fine with me. I also have a new found love for popsicles.- 4 Days Post Op Tmi
I cant have jello this soon like others can- 4 Days Post Op Tmi
Ensure was on my list. I got it on my meal tray in the hospital too. I dont think i will be trying it anymore- 4 Days Post Op Tmi
I was sleeved on 8/10 and so far so good until today. I was abled to drink more so i decided to aim for the 64 oz. Ive been drinking the Isopure Alpine punch for protein, plain room temp water, sf popcicles, diluted juice. Well today i decided to drink the ensure that i got from the hospital (6oz). Im not sure if that gave me diarrhea or just the increase in liquids. Either way i'm terrified of getting dehydrated. Any suggestions?
