February 2012 Surgery Dates- Who's Ready?

When is your surgery? How are you feeling? Who's your doc? My surgery date is 2/13/12 and I fluctuate from ready to go, to really nervous. I'm traveling to Texas to Dr. David Kim. Anyone else using him? :welcome:

Oh, boy. I just got the call from my surgeon's insurance coordinator. My health insurance has approved the surgery! It looks like I'm definitely on for 2/22. I have my PAT on Friday. My after surgery prescriptions have already been called in and are ready for pickup...as soon as I get paid on Friday. Oy. The big day seems so much realer now!

Please add me to the list. I was sleeved on 02/09/12 Dr Kennedy in Dallas. Doing really good except for coughing with causes severe pain. Picture the movie Alien. :biggrin5:

Hey guys I had VSG on 2/06/12, I am on another forum, but wanted to also hit this one up from time to time. Mine went so well, no complications, first night in ICU because my doc wanted to monitor me, but after that when I was finally allowed I progressed extremely fast. Well I lost about 20 lbs in the hospital and day 7 went home (stayed longer because I live out of country) put on some pureed and now soft foods, as soon as those hit my lips the weight loss stopped. I have read a lot of people who stalled week 2 or 3, but it is frustrating, 6 days now eating 800 calories and getting all my protein and water and not one ounce dropped, heck I think my scale just said I went up in weight. I know its natural but its messing with my head. Anyway whats up name is Ken!

For me I have to watch carbs BIGTIME. My PcP prescribed me metformin and a higher dose of HRT and synthroid 200mcg ;) good looking out doc. I love my new age doc. It takes me 3 days to get into ketosis. In ketosis I see the most burn. I lost a little over 20lbs as of today just messing around with ketosis

I'm scheduled for 2/27/12 with Dr. Aceves. Anyone else going to be there?

windycitymom-

I will be there on the 27th for pre-op tests and surgery on the 28th. I am so excited that someone else will be there the same time as me!

Oh Yeah! we're almost sisters. I'll be there alone so I'm sure I'll be sleeping on the 27th and then plan to check on you after your surgery. Can I buy you a drink? I hear they have some awesome broth.... lol

time is ticking for us I cant believe its 02/17 surgery on 2/22....its almost show time praying for no pain no problems .......

I hear ya !!!! Wishing you no pain or problems during and after the surgery.

The month is definitely flying by. I just had my PAT this morning. I don't trust the hospital's scales and I'm looking forward to getting back on my doctor's scales at some point. The hospital's scale had me down from 350lbs to 321lbs. I've definitely lost some weight on the pre op diet, but I doubt that I've lost that much.
