Ladies, anyone tried Turbo Fire by BeachBody? It is insane, but good...I also bought the original Zumba dvd's set since it's one of the best workouts I tried during my 6 weeks Fat Camp :)))

Ela

I haven't tried any of those, but the Zumba always has interested me. I working on Insanity! by Shaun T right now. Now THAT's Insane... but it's a lot of fun. :)

I'm open to help' date=' assist, butt kick, pat you on the back... all that.

I absolutely believe in this tool with all my heart! It has done for me what I couldn't do for myself nor even the lap band was able to do for me either. It was the best find and I can't say enough how it's given me my life back!!!

I won't say I know everything, because I DON'T! But in my career I always say, if I don't know the answer - someone else does. I'd like to open the discussion for anyone who needs someone to listen or to answer those millions of questions that come with this life altering surgery.

Blessings to all!!! Your dreams are at your doorstep now with the VSG. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Help! I'm so scared of food. I don't want to develop an eating disorder because of it. I'm scared, because I'm not quite sure what to eat now to continue losing weight. All I know is that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels...or will feel. I want the weight gone so bad, that I feel like I can't even enjoy food. What did you eat to become successful? I workout every day, except one.

Hi bg63, Yes I have done the pouch test. I don't really like it, I don't like doing all liquids for days unless I absolutely have to. It's just not my favorite! Besides that, I have a sleeve, I don't have a pouch.

I personally when I need to get back on track just go back to basics, which is Protein first, then green veggies next. No carbs for a couple days as long as you don't workout hardcore. Drink plenty of fluids (water!) too and hopefully this can get you back into good habits.

Hi Shannon :) Well my dear, I think perhaps you might just need to relax a little bit. Don't over think it! It can be mentally draining as it is. The weight WILL COME OFF but you just have to follow sleever rules and continue to challenge your physical abilities. That and plenty of Fluid (see above response should help).

I understand wanting to be at goal yesterday, but frankly that isn't going to happen. Don't stress on things you can't control. Forgive yourself for your past (DON'T FORGET) and make this moment count as yoiu move forward to fix yourself. It takes time and patience. *hugs*

When did you get your sleeve? How much weight have you lost,& what were you losing weekly.

What did you weigh when you started your journey?

What do you normally eat?

I was sleeved 4-25 and I'm still in a little pain. But, can't wait a couple more weeks whn I can start working out. Before the 2 wk liquid diet i weighed 263. As of today I am 240! I have a long ways to go. But, I am proud of myself. The liquid diet before surgery is so hard. And being that I'm 12 days out now. Im getting hungry. So resisting food is hard. I'm tired of Soup. I want something with some consistency. 2 more days & I can start pureed foods

Sorry for all the questions. But. You look great,& I just want to know what is typical whn you are diligent.

Thanks

Katie

Forgive yourself of your past... but never ever forget. If you do, you are doomed to repeat the behaviors that have gotten you to state at which you have sought to change.

Hi Katie :)

I was sleeved about one year and 8 months ago. I was 282 just before my pre-opt diet, but at my highest weight ever I was about 330 Lbs. That 50 Lbs was lost on years worth of fighting.

I normally eat Protein first, then my veggies, then a little bit of carbs. Though recently I have been eating far more carbs as I've bumped up my workouts like crazy.

It sounds like you are well on yoru way, congrats!!! :)

Love love love this app. This is amazing seeing and hearing others journeys!!

Good luck!

Take care

Katie

Thanks so much for your support! Actually besides majority of it probably being mostly luck - I'd say workouts has helped a lot with my loose skin, and staying fully hydrated (important for many reasons!)... I've also began lifting with Kettlebell routines and with dumbbells and my arms are filling out quite nicely. :) It's better to work it and see if it helps or not, than to do nothing!

All the best!!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
