This may sound like a silly question, but what did you wear to your surgery? I promise I'm not being fashion conscious. Lol! The hospital says "something comfortable, easy on easy off". I was thinking sweat pants and tshirt, but will it be too painful to bend over to pull up the sweatpants? Maybe a light dress? Any suggestions?

Depends on your climate. If its warm, a dress is ideal. Someone will help you dress, so bending over isn't a big issue. I'm in Seattle, so I wore loose sweats home and had no trouble.

Thanks ladies! I have all of these options, so I'm safe :-) I guess I'm getting nervous and this is what I'm choosing to stress out about. Lol!

If it is like my hospital, you will be in a hospital gown right after admitting, and until you are ready to go home.

BUT, you will be SORE after surgery, so whatever clothes you bring should be loose fitting and very comfortable! You won't want to wear something that will aggravate your incisions. Slip on shoes might be a good option too, you won't want to be doing toe touching exercises either :)

One of the thing they told me not to do was bend over. I wore lose sweat pants and they help dress me. If I could do it over I would wear something like a sun dress.

I read somewhere to wear tops with buttons or a zipper rather than tops that need to be pulled over your head...

I wore some baggie shorts , after I wore a Loose fitting what they used to call a moo moo dress for a few days like 4 to be more specific then I was able to put the shorts back on it really doesn't matter what u ewhere to the hospital for surgry cause they put u in one of the hospital gowns any way for surgery , it's what u want to be comfortable in on the ride home and something Really Loose fitting is better and take a small pillow that the seat belt will fit over cause u will have tenderness on ur stomache.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
