After getting Lapband can any of you briefly describe what you eat in a day??

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm nearly 2 years out from surgery. My nutritionist's guidelines were to eat a mini-meal every 3-4 hours, two of Protein and fruit and two with Protein and veggies. So, my typical day would be:

6:00 a.m.: protein shake

8:30 a.m.: protein + fruit (Morningstar Farms sausage + apple)

12:00 pm: protein + veggie (spinach salad with 3 oz chicken)

3:00 p.m.: protein + fruit (1/2 C. cottage cheese + strawberries)

6:00 p.m.: protein + veggie (3 oz. fish/chicken/protein + veggie)

Hope this helps!

Stephanie

This is the best. I have been failing at my diet for months cause I wasn't sure of what, when and how. My NUT just gave me a list of what to eat, sometimes to eat and rarely eat. No measurements. I have read everything and that confused me more. Thanks to everyone!

This is a great thread! I love seeing how little it takes to fill up! I'm not a big eater, which is part of the reason I am overweight - I'm always in starvation mode. But if I can just manage to do these little things over the course of the day I should be okay.

Its just weird that I don't eat much now, but I'm keeping the weight on. This worries me a bit, because if I can't change the frequency of when I eat the band isn't going to help me. Sigh...

Do you exercise regularly?

I know after the band exercise became much easier physically the hard part is still just fitting it in my schedule.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
