Any February 2013 Bandsters?

Recommended Posts

Just set up an account on here :)

I'm getting my band on Feb 11th in Toronto, Canada. Excited. Nervous. I start my pre-op diet next Monday...

Looking forward to sharing this experience with some of you!

I finally got a date. Was hoping for Jan, but it's February 6th. Nervousness set in now that I have a date.

Hi everyone, i am scheduled for feb. 26th. I am seeing my MD for clearance and the gastro doc and getting recent blood work. . I am 54 years old and i noticed Cynthia's post saying she had to have a stress test. Is anyone else having more tests than i am? I dont want to worry. Is there anything else i should be doing? Sara

2/14 here! Really anxious just hoping all the pre op tests come back clear and then also worried about surgery, I have anxiety so of course I'm worrying about a million things ( will my bp be too high to where they won't operate/will I be allergic to the drugs/will they do the wrong procedure on accident) just stupid things due to my anxiety. I keep telling myself that I'm not being forced to do it and its something I really, really want so surgery is worth it. Hope I'm not the only one feeling this way...

Kara! My friend, you are NOT alone! I have had those same "what ifs" but I'm just trusting that all will be fine, these docs do this all of the time they got this! I think the added anxiety just comes from never having done this before...you hang in their girl, you got this! We got this!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
