February Bandsters?

I know there's a special section for this, but it doesn't seem to be too popular so I'll give it a whirl here..

Anyone here to be banded in February besides me?

My surgery date is February 15th.

Feel free to add me on Facebook for support, etc. =]

Good luck to our last day of bandsters tomorrow. You'll be closing our month out for us. I'm 7 days post op and can't believe the drastic improvement in how I feel and my energy level today.

Thank you, Waterchick and all! Yes, I guess some of us are closing out the last of the February bandsters!

I am due at hospital at 6:00 a.m.! So not much time to stress, hopefully!

Feeling oh so nervous and anxious all at once but ready to start this journey into bandland!

I hope each of you are doing well and feeling good! Many blessings to you and to the other surgeries tomorrow.

God bless! I will see ya on the other side!

Well not quite 3 weeks since I had my surgery, I do have an appetite but I do realize it is a lot less than what I used to eat. I have been doing some bike riding and this past Sunday I loaded up my mountain bike and hit the mountain trail, the only thing that hurt was my pride from stopping up the hill because i was out of breath. No pain from my incisions on the ride so was happy about that.

that sounds so good... you must have some really good biking trails that you can use there. i used to ride bikes.. im wondering if i could again. it would be better for me than walking.

Today is my day!! Surgery at 10:30 am. Just want it over already lol. Thanks to all the February Bandsters for their posts this month!! Good Luck to everyone who is going into surgery today!

Tammy

Well I am at the hospital. In the waiting room. Waiting.....and getting a little more nervous about the unknowns with surgery but...having read all of these posts, at least I feel like I will have some idea. Still a bit nervous about the whole process, nonetheless. Especially anesthesia. Praying that all will go great. Praying I have it as good ad some of you.

Well I'm here sitting in the waiting room .... I can't really describe this feeling I have...excitement, anxiously, nervous..... Are a few. It still doesn't seem real after 9 mths of waiting I'm about to be banded. I'm hoping things will go smoothly. I've have 3 csections and bounced back from those with little complications I'm really hoping this will.be.the same. I'll post when I'm out and tell everyone how it all went. Keep me in your prayers

Good Luck Sassy!! You will do great!!

THANK YOU! and many blessings to you too, Wickedwitch! Also to everone else having surgery! See you all in Bandland. :0)

Luvbug, I hope all goes well for you too. I am in my hosp bed attached to all kinds of things and....waiting..

Is waiting the hard part?

Good Luck and blessing to all of you being banded today ....and yes waiting is the hardest part ....

Lol! Really....my cell didn't leave my side at work today.

Dr. Dietrick is awesome he banded me on Feb. 15th! We three should keep in touch. Good luck to you both today!!!!

i see my specialist in a week. he will have a date for me then im sure. im hoping its in march. i hear you about the clothes. i think i will do the same. i have a wardrobe full of really nice clothes that did fit me 20 years ago... some of them are timeless. i will have to get them out and look at them again. its mainly around the house dressing for me. just two tidy outfits for when i go out.

when i lose my weight... (im now 210 and want to get down to 140 ) then i will go and buy some really nice outfits for myself as well.... its exciting just to think about it all.

ive had my moments, even now, ive wondered if im doing the right thing. then, when i get up to walk, my hip locks on me and i know I AM doing the right thing. it took this forum for me to really understand the seriousness of the surgery though. i was completely naive before i joined here. at least im going into it now pretty much informed. i live in australia so im wondering if some of the guide lines for eating are different. i will know soon enough i think. im getting a lot out of reading everyones experiences here. Where would we be without computers...lol.

Good luck to you and I hope you have your surgery soon. I just came back from my 2 week post op appointment and I am down 15lbs since Feb 2nd when I started my pre-op diet so he said I was doing good. I go back on March 19th for my 1st fill so that will be exciting. I will keep you in my prayers and let's stay in touch.
