Ok, so I don't have many nsv or nlbv or nsurgicalv or anything like that... but today - I had a great NSV/NLBV/NSGV I recently (last week) "adopted" four feral kittens that were roaming the neighborhood. They have had no human contact are are about 8-10wks old. So I set a trap and caught em. All four. Then I put them in a cage in my bathroom where I was determined to tame them so I could get them good homes. For the first 2-3 days they were confined to the cage where I changed their bedding, litter, Water, food daily and sometimes more than once per day as needed. By day 3 one kitten would come up to my hand and let me pet him for about 3 seconds. After those first …

As some of you know my marriage broke up about 7 months ago and I have been seeing someone for a few months now. I am am having some major issues going on in my life right now, things I never dealt with when I was big. Why was everything acceptable, why was everything ok... I was happy with my life except that I was fat. Now its like nothing is okay, things have to be perfect, I cant be happy with the things that used to make me happy. I dont feel I can discuss any of this with anyone because well I am kind of humiliated at the accusation that both my husband and new partner have made. They have both used pretty much the same words that I love drama, when things are …

I was just thumbing through my massive music collection and i was starting to think that I've what i consider a soundtrack to life. songs that when you are about to get down to it would be the perfect songs to make love, have sex, fool around, or FUCK to. I have given a lot of thought to this subject and i have many but the aways seem to change according to the activities that i have listed above... each seems to have its own rhythm its own flow. ill start this thread with one a few of my own suggestions and people can follow in suite Foo Fighters - tired of you / F***ing Me'Shell NdegeOcello - Fool of Me / Making love JayZ - ni**** please / Having sex Guns N R…

I am a few pounds away from goal. My goal weight was discussed at the beginning of this process between my dr., myself, his team of nurses, my dietician and my husband. I am striving for a healthy weight and it's a reasonable one. I have lost count of the number of people (some are supposed friends) who think it is their responsibility to walk up to me in public and say: "You'd better not lose any more weight". Where do they get off? I just state that I am at goal (don't even want to explain I have a few more to lose) and I walk away. I have the friends that have been encouraging throughout this entire process. They are the ones that say that I have not looke…

Australia is bringing in new obesity testing for 3 year olds, trying to catch it before it becomes an health issue. I'm very much against this. I just don't see it as being that big a problem with 3 year olds. Some people take it too far and think any baby fat on a child is bad. I'd prefer they wait until the children attend primary school at 5 and then make it part of an ongoing healthy lifestyle education.

After being interviewed by the school administration, the teaching prospect said, 'Let me see if I've got this right: 'You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning. 'You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride. 'You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job. You want m…

Hi everyone, Have you had lap band surgery outside your own country? I'm a newspaper reporter in Austin, Texas, working on a series of articles about Medical Tourism. For the Web version of the series, I'm collecting stories from people who have traveled abroad for medical care (as a patient or a companion, for any procedure). If you choose to participate, your story will be posted online (without your e-mail address) to help tell the story from different perspectives. Our Web site is Statesman.com. If you'd like to share your story, please send me an email (cmaclaggan@statesman.com) with the following information by Sunday, Oct. 12, at midnight Central Standard Tim…

Any of you watch it tonight? Gabby & her kids are fat.. I watched it with my mom, and I felt so akward. I wanted to make comments about how the daughter ate half a sheet cake, and she's suppose to be 4, etc. I was that kid, so I was mixed with emberassment, and was wondering what my mom was thinking, so it was just akward all around. Like her trying on the princess costume-- that was me. My mom had to hand make my clothes, and alter clothes we'd find in the store so I could 'fit in'. Just made me cringe. Then I thought, these girls really are this fat.. in real life. What are their parents doing about it?? But, what did my mom do about it?

Visit me at http://www.myspace.com/dustbuddies " Sweet Gothic". I love myspace, so come on out and let me know how you are doing. Looking for OCTOBER BANDETTES!! ( Girls ) *lol* :frown: I lost 10 lbs already during my first week of Pre-Op liquid diet, one more week to go, then my tummy gets banded. I have been drinking non carbonated flavored Water, sugar free puddings, SF jellos and SF popsicles..I also have had hot chicken broth after work to relax before going to bed. I even got back into my smaller size shorts comfortably. Current size was too big at waist, but tight at thigh which is from obesity and varicose veins... Sweet Gothic

I happened to catch part of Martian Child today. Joan Cusack was in the flick. What the heck happened to her? She used to be really pretty, and now she's haggard and looks ill. It's sorta on topic, does anyone know if she had WLS? Google shows nothing. I think maybe sometimes thin is =too= thin.

I'm scared to death. I'm not happy with either candidate for the presidency. In fact they both scare the sh$t out of me! I'm afraid of what I can eat. I'm afraid I might eat something with tainted milk in if from China. I'm afraid of the economy. We are on the brink. I think that for Bush to actually make a speech about it, it is worse than the public knows. I know that they have to look at the collateral damage from public panic before they do a speech like that. I'm scared to death and I'm one of the lucky ones. My job is stable, my mortgage rate is fixed. I carry no debt other than my house. I have no children. I'm having an overwhelming urge to move …

Why is everyone so astonished that there are arguments going on? There are SO many different personalities on this board, we are bound to clash. I just want to scream because people are getting all defensive about petty things. Gimme a break!!!! This is about opinions and support... I will literally fall over if someone who doesn't want to argue comes into this thread and starts an arguement... I seriously want to go away from LBT because of the people that are offended by this little thing and that little thing... I KEEP hearing about PM's regarding arguements and sex talk... yet I have not received a SINGLE PM from someone telling me that my posting in their t…

I've read some threads on here regarding colon cleansing and figured this might be the right place to ask. I think that a lot of people (including me) have intestinal worms and don't know it. I'm too embarassed to ask a doctor and think I might want to try a do-it-yourself home remedy treatment. Do any of you know much about this topic and how to treat oneself at home? :embarassed: Thanks!

Hey there, friends. Last week I posted this in the Rants thread but I thought that I would try it here too. In January, I registered to participate in the 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk (I will be walking for a total of 60 miles). I have always wanted to participate in this very worthy cause but I knew that I could NEVER make the 60 miles before. Well, as many of you know, in April I learned of my husbands affair and I have been dedicating the majority of my time healing myself, trying to save my marriage and maintain a healthy life for my kids. In doing so, my fundraising efforts for the 3-Day Walk fell short. The walk is scheduled to begin next Friday (October 3). I ha…

My precious angel, Kitty Milo McSorley-Bonekovic, left me today, peacefully in my arms, just like he came into the world 15 years ago. It breaks my heart to share such a sad photo, but even at 5.5 pounds compared to the 23 pound hunter he used to be, you can see the love and devotion this little man nurtured me with for most of my life up until his very last strained breath. I refused to put him down when the Vet said to last Saturday because Kitters wasn't ready yet. But today he was. I picked him up with his 15 year old Teddy Bear, and he tucked his face in me lifelessly with one are around his baby, so we went to the doctor where my sweet furbaby was sent to the ange…

Well, I feel like Tina Turner as I am getting ready for Ike to come to my studio. Really, Tonight, I am updating all pictures, making sure all projects are backed up, and shutting down ItsaGodGig Music for the weekend to put muself in hurricane mode. My family has decided to shelter in place, and I will stay on line as long as the lights and cable will allow. We are listed as being about 10 miles outside of the "level C evacuation area" (those who should evacuate in a catagory 3 or higher storm). So while close, we are going to ride it out. Will board up the windows tomorrow morning (boards are already cut and fitted) and we have Water and food for about a week. I …

Hi all - as you can see I am a recent bandster who is having great success! So much success, that I have gone back to college. And as everyone knows, college is so expensive! I recently applied for a scholarship by sending in a funny video. The catch is that the video with the most votes wins - it isn't judged by a panel, it is just a popularity contest. I am trying to pay for college and the scholarship would make a huge difference to me!!!! So please visit this link, take a look at the video and vote for me - it's funny, I promise! You can also vote once a day, so if you could find the time to vote for the next week, it would be amazing. You don't have to watch …

Haha, gotta love it. As posted by John Ridley on Huffingtonpost.com hair on national TV it's an "adorable moment." (Seriously, forget about abstinence only, teach these folks some grooming skills). DTD SAYS: If your pastor rails against inequality in the United States of America, you're an "extremist." If your pastor welcomes a sermon by a member of Jews for Jesus who preaches that the killing of Jews by terrorists is a lesson to Jews that they must convert to Christianity, you're a "fundamentalist." If you're a black man and you use a scholarship to get into college, then work your way up to being the president of the Harvard Law Review, you're "uppity." If y…

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and I have enjoyed reading what others had to say. I do need some answers concerning the band. I had mine done May 22 and have lost thirty pounds. My concern is: I think this is too slow and I've had three fills. I am scheduled to have a fourth fill on the 25th of this month. If I have this fill done and it is too tight, what side effects will happen? I must admit that some days I don't feel hungry, I don't eat or I will eat something like mashed potatoes and green beans. Here goes the excuses! I work and stand on my feet my whole shift and walking is done alot on my job. I have RA (rheumatoid arthritis ) very badly and when I get ho…

My DH left this morning for a 7-day mountain bike/primitive camping tour around the Grand Canyon. It's just me and the dog from now until next Sunday night. I'm currently out of work, working from home job-searching. So I don't see people during the day. Or at night! I'm going nutso. We have a very close marriage, no kids, not many friends - and I've already called them all and it's only been 8 hours since I dropped him off. I've also called my Mom, my sister, one of my brothers ... I keep wandering the house, room to room, trying to find something to light on. And the dog keeps following me around (her: "sit down in one place, will you! I need to lay down somewhere!"). D…

I don't know how much of this is true, but I found it interesting (Got it as an e-mail today at work...I need a hobby - LOL).... LIFE IN THE 1500'S-and stuff you didn't know! The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the1500s: Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married. Baths consisted of a big …

Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said holding her at the county jail for her trial would be impossible because she needs extensive medical care. "She would die," said Trevino in Thursday's online edition of The Monitor in McAllen. The grand jury indicted Rosales after an autopsy confirmed investigators' suspicions that the child died March 18 because he had been struck. Investigators believe the toddler was struck at least twice, crushing his head

as i prepare for the baby in my family (my brother's) upcoming wedding - i am doing the music...cause i just dont' go to many places w/out my ipod. he is having a civil ceremony & then 6 couples are chartering / sailing through the BVI's. i am trying to download as much as possible as we'll have a IPod converter to play music to. thought i'd hit this eclectic group for your favorite wedding songs **ps - not the overly sappy type** this is a fun sailing trip & i NEED many more songs to add for a 12 day sail trip.....appreciate the feedback: ps - my wedding song was Santana's Love of My Life (he still is..:whatchutalkingabout)

When I was considering the band, I purchased this soft-cover book. It was very informative. It is called: Weight Loss Surgery with the Adjustable Gastric Band-Everything you need to know before and after surgery to lose weight successfully by Robert W. Sewell, MD, FACS, and Linda Rohrbough. It looks brand new, as there are no rips, tears, bends, etc. I paid $16.95 at Borders and figured I'd offer it here before putting it on eBay. The price is $10.00 (shipping + delivery confirmation included). This price is cheaper than eBay and Amazon. I take Paypal only. If you'd like references, you can check out my eBay id: puppytreasures, as I have 238 positiv…
